Hello! Thank U 4 allowing me 2 share an experience at ur store in Baytown, TX. Yesterdayâlearned I need surgery & it would b next week. Was looking 4 comfortable clothing 4 my recovery. Am not familiar w/ activewear. Was excited looking! All types & colors!âtrying 2 match a âsky blueâ top & 3 or 4 other, âshades of a âdifferentâ blueâ 2 find âthe sky blueâ bottoms! lol. Pinks & yellows 2! Shopped 4, 3 hours(?) btwâfolks in the clothing sections work HARD. Thought I was done shopping & now hungry - headed towards the cafeâ. Some jewelry (across the aisle,) caught my attentionâŚ(thought I parked) my cart off 2 the sideâalways try 2 b considerate & not block aisles. Returning 2 my cartâcouldnât find it! Looked & looked & looked & lookedâ-truly felt I had scoured EVERY aisle. NO cart. Thought, maybe I parked it somewhere else, or someone took mine(?) by accident? Asked the young lady at CS desk 2 call someone 2 help me look, please.Told herâI didnât want 2 think anyone took my cartâletâs just find it. A âManagerâ came & helped me look in that specific area-NO cart! Started feeling panicked as I had the cart FULL of clothing 4 my surgery â that probably took a full 2-3 hours 2 find & $500? clothing in that cart. Asked the manager 2 please check the camerasâsaying, maybe, âI accidentally parked the cart in some other area, or someone grabbed the wrong cart (mine) by mistake.â She & some young man (he had somewhat of a smart alecky attitude,) â are now standing near the front of the store & I am 1/2 way down the aisle â still searching) With a smug tone he says, âYour cart is thereâwhere YOU left it.â The tone & his verbage was condensing. So, again, walked the depth of the storeâfound A CARTâwith a microwave in it. Told them over & over, âThis isnât my cartâmy cart had a ton of clothes in it & decorative Easter eggs.â I then asked, can you please check the camera again? The first Mgr. called for another employee to help me. She didnât really help me lookâso now, close to an hour searching. Admittedly, now getting panicked & tearing up; finally, just asked this 2nd Mgr. for the CS #. She gave it 2 meâ was VERY strange, the 3 of âthe mgrs.â just stared at me, felt like I was from outer spaceâno wordsâno help. đ Could not understand why? I asked them, âWhat should I do?â On the cameras, do U see the cart I was using anywhere in the store, please tell meâŚmaybe I accidentally parked it somewhere else? No response. I gave up & called CSâvery kind, empathetic, lady, âMikalaâ took my call. She was very gracious, allowed me 2 âjust speak.â Said she would make a report. Now, exhausted. Am not supposed 2 b on my feetâhad 2. Am not from here & fairly new. A young, handsome, black gentleman approached & asked me what was wrong? Thought he was a manager. Expressed my confusion & not knowing what 2 doâhe seemed very sincere. He just listened- SO kind. He asks, âIs this your cart? YeSSS! SO đ &profusely thanked him. Asked him his name, believe he said, âCaili?â and where he found the cart. He said in his dept., housewares. Please give him a shout outâhe IZ a great person & employeeâkind, listens, triesâto be helpful & MORE! Please know, I did NOT want, or try, to be difficult & if I was, I sincerely, sincerely apologize! I only wish the 3 mgrâs.would have been a bit more kind, more helpful & more âtrue.â I believe if they had, the situation would have been more positive for ALL. They have stress, like many of us, but please try to help a bit more helpful &...
Read moreThe cashier (Darlene) was a jerk and rude. The Baytown, Texas Target sucks. Hereâs why. I stopped in to by a product that only Target sells in the quantity that appeals to me. While I was there, I noticed the signs of what was required to get a $5 gift card. I purchased 3 packages of toothbrushes, the largest box of Bounce fabric sheets, Viva paper towels, toilet paper, and Kleenex. I told the cashier I wanted the Airborne and Reeseâs cups to be rung up separately so I could use the gift card I expected back on that purchase. The cashier, Darlene, said âI canât do that anymore!â I asked if there was a policy change because I have donât this in the past. She said âyes, but I donât make the policy!â I thought to myself âsheâs awfully defensive for someone who doesnât make policyâ and â I didnât ask who made the policy but thanksâ. She then told me I will be getting a $10 gift card. I asked her how can that be when I spent $50 on laundry and paper goods, and bought the toothbrushes. She said âyou donât have to yell at me!â Well, no, I didnât yell at her, but now I felt like it thanks to her bad attitude and poor treatment of me, a customer. But I decided collecting information so I could write this complaint letter to corporate (and a Yelp review of the location) would be a better idea. Darlene whips out a store flyer and turns to the page with the toilet paper. She very defiantly asked âdid you get so and such toilet paper? No you did not!â I pointed out the signs on the shelves did not specify a brand or package quantity, only that it had to be laundry, facial tissue, paper towels, or toilet paper. I even took a photo of the sign. Darlene called a manager over who was busy with another customer. In the meantime another customer came up behind my. As a courtesy, I told them I was having a fit about something here and that they might have a long wait. I think they wanted to watch the drama, but another cashier came by and offered to ring them up. THEN! Darlene said âyouâre not having a fit, youâre inquiring!â How dare she tell me how Iâm feeling or what is going on inside my head? I was indeed having a fit. The signs clearly stated âLaundry and Household Paper; offer includes laundry detergents, fabric enhancers, stain removers, bath tissue, facial tissue and paper towelsâ. The signs were placed at eye level on the shelves, not in front of any specific product. Nor - as mentioned before - do the signs mention a specific product. The manager gave me a $10 and $5 card. I complained to her about Darlene, but you know itâs never good enough to complain to a store manager when a person gets the kind of service I got. I purposely asked the manager about this new policy with the gift cards and not being able to use them until the next day, repeating what Darlene told me. The manager (did not get her name) said that is true, itâs to prevent people from making unauthorized returns. So, when I got home, I told my husband everything and asked him to go back to that location, but something we still needed, and use the gift card. What do you know! It worked. Darlene told me there was some kind of code on the card to prevent people from using the card before tomorrow to force them back to the store. Obviously, thatâs not true.
Iâll be returning the extra window sheer curtain too. I forgot I wanted only one panel per...
Read moreThe biggest problem is not enough employees which leads to long lines and the store being a wreck. This is every time shopping at the Baytown location. For the past year off and on, that I've been going. I try going early in the am thinking the store will be cleaned from night crew. But absolutely not. The hours of the store, Should change if they can't keep the store intact how it should be. Hire certified employees, you need a bunch to cover the departments plus check out. I'm not sure how often management come and go, but I'm sure of the employees coming and going, cause every time I'm in there it's new faces. Years ago I shopped at this target on a consistent basis but not anymore due to all the problems. I rather drive further out and get what I need and want in a better environment. Only departments that stay decent is the food and home and beauty. Also the kids departments are all fairly small. I would think being that it's small it's easier to keep clean. Also the store isn't catering to people with carts or strollers wheelchairs etc it's no way of getting through the departments with the little space given that's a pain. The reason for the two stars is based on the availability. They are open really early meaning if I need to run in and get something really quick, there available, and close...
