The reason I give only 3 stars is for service. They sell good products if they could just get the service to match the products. Besides Walmart this would be one of the other places I hate to shop. Yes I still go but I no they will still try to get you to buy whatever costs more. Great products but when I come in for something specific that's what I want. I went in for a television no one would help me I stood around about 15 min waiting in front of the television I wanted everyone smiled and went on their way. 15 min later I stood in the walkway and said quite loudly: does anyone want to make some money today if like to buy this tv. Workers looked at me, smiled, grouped in the walkway about 50ft from me and all turned back and continued talking with each other so I waited again thinking that for sure somebody was going to come and help me however after another 15 to 20 minutes of waiting nobody showed up this time I stood in the walkway and I said I have some money to give y'all would y'all like to take my money I want this TV I want to give somebody a commissioned somebody come help me nobody came finally I saw somebody just walking past ignoring me and I stopped to them and ask for a manager the manager came and asked if he could help me I said yes it would be nice. So he went to look at the TV and it was one of the cheaper models but it was a 50 inch and he said oh we don't have that one anymore I said let me buy the one that's on the wall he said no we cannot do that I said really because they told me I could when I called this morning while I was Price shopping he said that's only for discontinued item I said okay that's fine I'll just go back to Walmart he said well I have this one here which was quite a bit more I said no I wasn't looking to spend that much money this is the one that I wanted but that's okay they carry this one at Walmart also so I called to my son and we turned around and started to walk off and he came back hollering oh I have that TV I have one on the truck they never bothered to look on the truck until I decided to leave and go somewhere else so if they have something you really want ask them to look on the truck because they're not going to give you any more than what you asked for that's as far as the customer service goes and if they still say no then it might help to tell them you will go elsewhere and start to walk off. But be prepared to actually do it or for up the extra cost you didn't want.

I had not been in-store in a while as my last few purchases had all been done online with either delivery or curbside pickup. I went in a few minutes before closing on 5/18, a Sunday. I had purchased an iPhone 16 and needed a charging cable for use in my car. I showed the gentleman my phone and explained that I needed a cable with a standard USB on 1 end to plug into my car and the small C plug on the other end to connect to my phone. He instructed me to get USB-C adapter and pointed towards the mobile accessories - I opted for 2-pack of what ended up being USB-C to USB-C cables from Beats that retails for around $35. At check out, I asked if it was the correct cables for an iPhone 16 and would fit my car. I was told yes. I was not given a paper receipt and was told it had been emailed to me. When I got out to my car, I opened the box to plug in and charge my phone and was irritated to have 2 cables with the small C sized plug at both ends - not what I was needing. At that time, I had about 2 minutes before closing so I went back into the store - told the guy that the cables do not fit the USB plug in my car. He pointed towards the accessories again. This time I purchased a single Beats USB-A to USB-C cable for $18.99. For that purchase, she handed me a paper receipt. They were eager to get me out of the store so I did not fuss with returning the incorrect cables at that time plus, I had already opened the box and I was unsure of their policies. I’ve had the unneeded cables in their box sitting next to my laptop at my house and planned to return them when I had available time. I opened the app today (6/3) to pull up my receipt and check return policy and it tells me that the $35 cables are now un returnable that the last day I could have received a refund was yesterday, 6/2. They have a 15 day return / exchange policy. That’s a stupid policy!

I walked in at 10am just as the doors opened. I was greeted quickly and assisted. The aux cord I was looking for was marked at $19.99. I looked online and BestBuy website had for $9.99. Then I had to buy the USB-C adapter for $8.99. Walk out price was $20. Don't let the prices marked scare you away. If you have the time pull up their website do so and verify prices. I almost walked out. I could have purchased a single cord from Amazon for $8.99. Yes, I paid double for 2 separate cords. Thats the price you pay for instant gratification and not being able to wait 2 days.

Best Buy or Worst Buy? The reviews said it all. MacBook died and was looking for a quick replacement, so called the store to see if they're able to transfer the data from the dead MacBook to any computer, and Geek Squad answered, they said that it had to be taken to Apple store to do it, or they'll have to break it apart to get the hard drive out because it's different than PC laptop. I watched a Youtube video and it took me less than a minute to remove the hard drive. Fine, we went to the store, wasted 10 minutes because the DirectTV guy blocked our path and wouldn't stop talking to us. And then browsed around and found the laptop we were going to get, so we're approached by the sales assistant, he was helpful at first until we asked if he could have the files from the old hard disk drive transferred to the new one, and if I could witness when they do it so that my files are safe. He said it'll be a $99 charge, and it will take 3-4 days for them to do it. So I asked why so long, he said because there are probably about 50 other hard disk drives are waiting to be worked on right now, which to me it probably means the people working on them are either incompetent or just slow. I told them I don't like leaving my hard disk drive in the store for even a day, and then he told me why do I have to worry about a large retailer like Best Buy, and I said that's probably the reason why I am worried because they could just hire anybody who doesn't know anything about computer to do the job, and if I am paying $99 I want to get it done right, and then he just said "Sorry we can't help you then" I was like sure, I am pretty sure I can get help somewhere. Then another salesperson took over and was trying to help me, she was nice, and found a Geek Squad member to answer my question. And he said that I can't watch them work because it might take the entire night just to do it, and I wouldn't want to stand there 3-4 hours just for that. My conclusion is that, Best Buy salespersons and their Geek Squad are slow, with limited knowledge of their own products, and absolutely incompetent in both handling the technical matters, and...

I took my iMac desktop computer there a few weeks ago to the Baytown, TX store. After they ran their diagnostics they said there was no hardware issues with my computer and they were just going to wipe the OS system and install the latest version and then restore from my external hard drive back up. After a week of trying with no success they finally concluded it must be a hard drive that is going out even though there own equipment said it was not. They said the extremal hard drive would not load and that there is nothing else they could do.I then took my computer to Microcenter who is an actual authorized center who has the ability to open the iMac and check the hard drive and replace it if necessary. Best Buy took about 8 days to tell me that they don't have the ability to run advanced diagnostics or the ability to replace the hard drive.

I then took a second iMac to the same store and they took 5 days to erase the hard drive. They did the same thing to this computer which was re-install from my external hard drive. They said it would not load and kept crashing. They finally said it was ready after 8 days and when I went there all of my data was sitting on a folder on the computer. It was suppose to be installed completely and ready for me to use. They said they would once again need more time to do this. I had enough of the "Geek Squad" by this time. I took the computer and called Apple Support and after 5 minutes everything was download back to the original way the hard drive had backed. things up (the data, apps, and OS). Spent the 200 dollars for their repair service and they were not able to fix either computer to the way I had done so before bringing it in to them. So lost nearly 2 1/2 weeks time of no computer. I would have taken it to the Apple store but all of them are still closed in the entire Houston area. Will just take my computers down to Microcenter until the Apple stores open as their technicians are trained the same way the Apple...
