The Chute — Restaurant in Baytown

Great service , very friendly staff especially coming to a local bar from out of town. I will most certainly recommend this bar to family and friends. The night we were there was a band playing and what looked liked smiles and laughter all around. There wasn’t a big group of us and we were treated very kindly and professional. The bartenders were quite busy but smiling and laughing with patrons. You could tell the regulars at the bar , they all treated each other like family and even welcomed us from out of town with open arms. Isaac made us different drinks we had never tried and they were delicious. It’s always a good sign when you walk into a bar and see the people serving you drinks watching or at least trying to watch and make sure all the customers are well taken care of not just by making drinks. From what we all could tell the bartenders take their jobs very seriously and let me tell you they can come up with great drinks ! Staff was excellent , drinks were delicious , atmosphere top notch. On Thursday May 4th 2023 around 11:30pm My husband myself and 2 friends arrived around 11pm had just purchased a bucket of beer with 4 beers. About 30 min later when my husband tried to go buy more beer He was told He had been cut off. Like anyone would be, He was confused because he had only had 1 beer, He was not causing a scene or bothering anybody we we’re sitting by the dance floor. He was escorted out and for no reason treated very disrespectful He was handled very extremely by their security guy for no apparent reason, after He was escorted out He was livid as anyone would be. They need to check their cameras because this was our first time there, we have never been there before and I believe they must of confused him with another person. Which if that’s the case they need to be more careful when recognizing or selecting the people that do need to be cut off or escorted out we were treated very unfairly and got cut off and thrown out for no reason. Watch out for BPD!!! Let me preface this: I am 50+ yrs old (and was dressed very modestly. I was not dressed to “go out” that night. I got in my car to call a friend to come pick us up. I was yanked out of my car - the person I was on the phone with heard the commotion and had no idea what was happening. I walked straight out the door to my car, no interaction with anyone. I was arrested and charged PI. It was closing time. Yes, I was very drunk, but I was responsibly calling for a ride. They didn’t let me turn my car off. They didn’t let me get my phone or my purse. Taken to PD with no phone to call for a ride in the morning. I’ve been before when a lady was so drunk she couldn’t stand up or keep her eyes open. The BPD on duty called an Uber to make sure she made it home safely. The only reason I was picked up the next day was because the tow truck driver heard my son calling many times and leaving messages (hmmm. How did he hear that?) I had no phone to...
