After a significant home remodel, we realized that much of the old furniture just wouldn't cut it anymore, so we went shopping. After ruling out most of the other fully brown/tan furniture stores in our area, we found Scott Director's furniture- walking into their showroom was like switching from Black & White TV to color! You're greeted with beautiful colors and textures that are hard to find elsewhere, and even though that showroom may not rival the sheer scale of other stores, the variety of styles displayed are impressive, and we found out there that the form of the furniture is just the beginning- the fabric options seem endless! Perhaps more importantly, Scott and/or Carol were delightful and seriously know their business! They'll hold back just a bit to see what seems to pique your interest, then begin a dialogue about what your living space is like, and begin to make informative suggestions based on your input- not just try to sell you what they're trying to move on the floor. It felt more like consultancy than salesmanship. We knew right away that whatever we chose would be right for our space, and that through having the furniture built to our desires, it would be unique to our home- the fabric and material options are impressive, and the build quality feels quite high-end. The store and its owners are great. We are moving cities and down-sizing to an apartment so needed to order several pieces of furniture that would fit well into the new space and layout limitations. We wanted it to feel like a cozy attractive home to us both aesthetically and functionally. The owners are exceptionally knowledgeable about their products (customer built furniture such as couches, pullout bed couches, recliners, chairs, ottomans, etc). They have been in their business for almost 30 years. They have a wide variety of options for selecting furniture sizes and designs with a beautiful array of fabrics to choose from. The showroom provides a representative selection and also carries some related decor items for sale. We were very appreciative of the owners who take their time with their customers and from their experience can give you useful suggestions and design insights and layouts. They are conscientious about providing you with what you need. Temporary warehouse storage of purchased or ordered items and local area delivery are also services.
