Space: Spacious, but old. It's clean and well kept, but you can tell that it's been around a while.
Downstairs: The karaoke is downstairs (approx 9 or 10 rooms) that are fairly large with plenty of seating. There's typically 3 or 4 people working the area.
Upstairs: Limited bar, but spacious. Pool table, but fairly empty and not decorated.
Karaoke: The karaoke is based on YouTube. You give your phone to the staff, they put in the Wi-Fi password (you don't get to know it and only 1 or 2 phones have access), you then connect your phone via casting to the TV and pick your songs based on "karaoke-Adele-Hello" search functions. The wi-fi is a little slow during peak times so the songs may skip, have to be restarted, or the connectivity is lost all together. This happened twice in 4 hours and was fixed within 15 minutes. There's a lot of reverb, but you don't notice it once you're singing. YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING in the next room to you. Just a heads up.
Food: I wouldn't bother ordering it. Lackluster and limited affair.
Drinks: Watered down. If you do get drinks, get beer since that can't be under-served. Unless your entire check is on one ticket, you have to individually go up to the bar and request a drink. If it is on one ticket, they will provide drink service.
Staff: Not the friendliest or knowledgeable. It took two people to fix the connectivity issues and they weren't the most helpful. Very short and abrupt personalities. I had difficulty communicating in English at times when trying to get everything set up or drink orders made.
Overall: I give it 2 stars. It's homey, open late, accommodating, but overall you'll get a better bang for your buck...

You are just renting a room with some couches, a slightly obnoxious (but kind of fun) disco light, and a tv so you can cast YouTube karaoke videos. This is illegal as they aren’t properly licensing the music (which would be better as some YouTube videos leave the backing vocals in) They only let you use one phone too and won’t give you the password (they enter it in for you).
I could get the same thing by connecting my phone to my home TV. Even without the microphones and sound system (which was actually very good besides some of the vocal tuning they add) it would be better. At least then you aren’t hearing TONS of noise from the other rooms when your music isn’t going.
Don’t get me wrong, it was a fun night. But that’s mainly because of the group of friends I was with. If you are looking for karaoke on a budget, there are better ones around that...
Read moreI can't, in good conscience, give more than three stars but I also can't give less. This was an odd experience but mildly amusing. You are basically renting a room with a sound system and you screencast YouTube karaoke versions of whatever you want to sing. The bar selection is terrible and the service was disinterested at best. It was fun to sing with my friends in a fast rotation, but the extra cost at Voicebox gets you what you pay for. The one big upside is that you get to sing practically any...
