My wife and I drive past here at least once a week. We always talk about wanting to go in. So after a year of driving past it, we finally went, and thankfully we were NOT disappointed at all! Everything about our exp here was top level. The staff was friendly, the location was easy and not crowded, the food was AMAZING, and the prices were very reasonable. When you first walk in, there is almost this kind of walkway, entry tunnel, which is helpful if it was a busy day and you didn't want to have to wait in the rain. There is a main restaurant area, as well as a lounge/bar. We were greeted by not 1, but 2 people right away. There was no wait, and we were seated right away. They offered us complimentary hot tea, but since it was evening we declined knowing it was a caffeine trip. My wife and I tried the egg drop soup which was unique here as they also had mushrooms in it, but it only made it more delicious. We each ordered 2 different dinner combinations and were impressed, both by the portion size/price and the great flavor! The meal was finished when they offered to box our food for us, and we got fortune cookies. Overall, we both enjoyed this, and we know that we will be frequenting here more than...
Read moreAs an avid enthusiast of Chinese cuisine, my expectations were set high due to the glowing reviews of China Delight. Unfortunately, my recent visit was underwhelming and largely disappointing.
The egg noodle soup, a dish I was particularly excited about, was remarkably bland. It tasted as if it had missed the critical phase of seasoning, offering no more flavor than plain water. This was a disheartening start to the meal.
Equally disappointing was the fried rice, which seemed to have been cooked in oil that was well past its prime. The result was a dish that was not only unpalatable but also left an unpleasant aftertaste.
The egg rolls, usually a favorite of mine, suffered from the same issue as the fried rice, suggesting a consistency in the kitchen that day that leaned towards the negative.
While the pork dish initially seemed to redeem the meal slightly, it was marred by a lingering, off-putting aftertaste that made it difficult to enjoy fully.
Given the restaurant's strong reviews, I am left wondering if my experience was an unfortunate anomaly or if there has been a decline in quality. I am hesitant to return and hope that this feedback will be taken as an opportunity for...
Read moreThe food is ok. Definitely not the best. Lived in this area for 13 yrs, been here twice, and will never go back. While waiting for the food to go I decided to get a drink in the bar that I had no idea was there. At first I was like ok cool. But it was messy, disorganzed and one of the bartenders was extremely rude. Slamed my drink down on the bar, very uncordial and short, snippy remarks. When I ordered my drink she rolled her eyes and had difficulty in making the drink even though it was a drink on the specials menu. The other two bartenders however were completely nice. The other lady should not be a bartender. This place is for people who are 50+ with nothing better to do and have no idea what actual good chinese food is. The restuarant is severely outdated, the bar is trashy, the back room had storage everywhere and the building is a major eye sore when driving down Beaverton Hillsdale. One good thing are their fortune cookies. I actually really...
