Ocean State Job Lot — Local services in Bedford

From the moment I was walking into the store I met a customer nice gentleman. I entered the store and immediately impressed how open, clean and organized it was. This is also transformation from summer to fall so that made it even more impressive. I saw an employee Nancy and felt compelled to let her know how amazed I was and I had only been down 1 aisle. She was a little shocked that I stopped her to let her know how impressed I was. ( I also have to say that I suffer from extreme anxiety in stores and felt totally at ease and calm) I asked her for the store number so I can call corporate. I was more impressed that when she gave me the info she did not put her name on the info but she put Daves the managers name instead. That told me how humble and how much respect she has for him. Dave actually was close by and she stopped and explained that I was impressed and then told him she put his name and his reaction was as humbling and kind. I can tell the employees respect him! He also stated that he makes the effort to want his employees to want to go to work and it shows! I didnt find 1 individual from employees to customers that were not kind helpful even going out of their way to say hello and ask how your day is going with a smile and it was all genuine! Another employee I remember is Kim and the others either I didn’t get their names or forgot! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Thank you all in store 250 for making what is always a stressful and anxiety situation a great experience for me! I hope corporate knows and recognizes what a special team you all are! I also hope anybody reading this understands how important it is to write reviews that are positive it makes people know they are doing a great job so I’m hoping people take time out to leave positive reviews and not just negative. I’m a regular at this Ocean State Job Lot and it is probably the best one in the area. It’s always clean and I’ve met the manager, Dave personally and he is a very nice guy knows what he’s doing in retail for sure because everyone there is friendly and I always see the same crew of people there which means he keeps people happy, I’m 100% honest. I’ve never met a mean or rude person working at Ocean State Job Lot Bedford. Informative and friendly service and they always got what I need. And if they don’t have what I need, they always go the extra mile and look for other stores that have the product that I need in the area. Also there’s a man that works in the service desk and he is always so friendly whenever I go in there I always try to go to him because he’s always got a big smile on his face. Been looking for a specific umbrella for a long time. Went to about 4 different locations. Called this location on the phone and they said they had one left they would put aside for us. Had to drive almost an hour to get to this location. We got there and asked for the umbrella and gave them my name. They told they told us we already picked it up when we didn’t. Before we got there, a customer came to an employee and asked for an umbrella. They said “Is your name Catherine?” The customer said yes and they gave it to them.

That was OUR umbrella they put aside for us. The employees need to be trained better. They should be asking us for our names instead of saying “Is your name Catherine?” And now the specific umbrella we wanted is sold out everywhere in...
