June 2024 update: They SUCK. They hardly have anything in stock to buy anymore. I went in the other day to get a Samsung Book and they had NONE. And they've outsourced their phone calls - call the local store and you get someone offshore who can't answer if they have a car auto-starter with climate control that starts the car at 77F and can be programmed to run for thirty minutes. So that someone says they'll connect you. Both times they did this I waited forever (8 minutes and 12 minutes) on hold for nothing. Third time the person said she can't connect me, SO THE OTHER TWO PEOPLE LIED TO ME AND WASTED MY FREAKING TIME.
Screw this. I'll find an independent store WHO ANSWERS THEIR OWN DAMN PHONES AND DOESN'T WASTE MY TIME.
Update to my update: You want me to do the work of "making this right", Jason? Yeah, that sounds like your store. Unless you give me a phone number DIRECTLY TO YOU, eff off. You blew it. You will NEVER get my business again, and I WILL tell ALL my friends.
Almost always helpful employees and decent selection of what I need. It would be nice if the return policy was thirty days instead of just a couple weeks, but that's a small quibble.
Occasionally I get inaccurate advice (for instance, one employee recently told me at antenna was UHF and VHF capable, but when I got it home I find out it wasn't and had to return it - but if a pita), but most times the employees really know what they're talking about and are incredibly helpful. I've learned to do more research before going to the store, as one should do regardless of how much the employees know, so the instances of wrong advice aren't too much...
Read moreSeptember 7th I purchased over $7000. of Kitchenaid and LG appliances with a 5 year Geek Squad warranty and scheduled a delivery date of Nov. 2nd. I called the store a week before the scheduled delivery to make sure everything was good for that date and was told there were no problems. By the 2nd I did not receive a call or a delivery and spent 2.5 hours on the phone with Best Buy customer service, the store, and XPO delivery. They re-scheduled for the 4th. On the 4th, the same thing...no call and no delivery. That day I was on the phone for 4 hours and was told by Fabian, the Bee Cave store manager, that he would work on it and call me later in the day. He never called, I called him and all I got was we can re-schedule for the 9th, then it was the 14th, then the 24th. At the end of the day he cancelled my order but still charged me $423. With all the time I spent on the phone I talked to about 8 different individuals with one customer service agent calling me a liar. When I tried to call the CEO, they hung up on me. There was no Black Friday, I had completely paid for my order and had set a delivery date for 2 months out. There is simply no excuse for this type of beyond horrible customer service. The next day I called a Pacific appliance inside a different Best Buy and completely re-ordered everything and they were able to get my appliances to me within 2 weeks. Don't order any appliances from Best Buy in Bee Cave and I would recommend only using Pacific sales if you absolutely need to order...
Read moreThis Best Buy is one of the few electronics stores in the area which, in my opinion, contributes to the nonchalant attitude that some of the employees have adopted. If you are bringing items for repair or warranty exchange/replacement... Go elsewhere. I've brought items for repair merely to compare prices and the general response is why repair this item for exorbitant sums of money when you can just buy something new? I was quoted a price so ridiculous I was in shock. I later repaired the item within an hour... I believe the minimum is 75 dollars (just for looking at your item). I'd hate to know what an actual repair would cost.. Luckily I can repair my own.. Having worked in Information technology. Exchanges? Worse? Believe me... I wish it were not the case.. But it is. The sneering exchanges I received from two of the employees were almost enough to make me turn and leave but I soldiered on and finally got a human to help me to which they stated that they wouldn't exchange it without a receipt but refused to look for the receipt on their end. The employee ended up getting snippy with me at which point I felt it better to leave as I was about to give him a piece of my mind. Avoid unless you have an emergency...
