Wow, after hitting 5 bridal stores, this last one was the cream of the crop. Huge store, lots of selection, reasonable prices for most of them, plenty of space, private room with your own couch area, large accessory area with veils, etc. Clean and spotless floor.
We got there at 4pm on Saturday, exhausted and low energy from our other stores where we had some maybe dresses. We were matched with Olga. OLGA IS THE BEST. Her high level of energy, her dry sarcasm coupled with her straightforward attitude, her humor, her efficiency. Donât expect dawdling with her - she knows her job and really finds passion in it, and does it amazingly well. I honestly thought at the beginning that she must have gone to acting school. She said âwe need to forget dress shopping, we are going by FEELING now and thatâs what you focus on. Itâs a yes or a goodbye, no in betweenâ. Thatâs a really great way to focus in on what you want and not accidentally say yes to any maybe dresses. There is no high pressure sales or nonsense with Olga - she is here to help you find the dress of your dreams and if itâs not here, then thatâs fine too.
She worked hard and quick. She got all of us involved even (especially) my dad, and sent us out on two ârunsâ to select dresses for me to try on. She didnât limit the number like other bridal shops do - she gave us a time limit and 2 tags each, with more if we finished early. We had 10-12 dresses at a time to try on. After the first 5, we identified my style and type. We were able to get rid of the next 5 that didnât match. She taught us with every dress what to look for based on my preferences and my body type; we learned and did better the second round. Then we went on our second run.
For the two that I liked the most, she had me do a runway fashion show, see it in the natural light, photos from my âpaparazziâ, clipped the front tight so i could see the back, had me walk âdown the aisleâ with my dad, looked in the mirror, fluffed the train. And then for the one that I ended up saying yes to, she put my hair to the side I wanted it, gave me a clip and veil to try on, really had me feel what it would be like to wear the dress on my day. And then we were all shocked by the low price of the dress - under $1700 for a really intricate design with lace, sparkles and a long train. Let me tell you after our experience with Olga, it made me feel so confident in saying yes to the dress!
Even when we ended up taking an extra half hour after closing hours with the dress, she did NOT rush us, which was the experience we had at several of the other stores. She wanted to make sure it was the right fit. After trying on only moscato/champagne colored dresses due to my light skin tone, the one I ended up liking the most was ivory! Wow, Iâd never have guessed.
Donât hesitate to book with Signature Bridal and ask for Olga if you can. It will be an experience you...
Read moreI've been waiting to post a review until my dress came in and the whole process was finished but I can't wait any longer! If you are searching for a dress, make this a stop because you will love the dresses and the staff!
To start with the shopping, I went shopping with my mom and bridal party in January. Eliza helped me along with an associate who she was training that day. They got my style and budget and went to pick out a few options for me. They also give you a few tags and show you where your budget is located more or less and let you pick a few. I loved this part since it was fun to go see the dress and pick a few you loved and a few wild cards. The whole experience was amazing and they were great at fitting you into dresses that were either too large or too small.
A note on the dresses: They have so many different styles that they can accommodate probably almost any bride. They seem to also have a wide variety of sizes in their samples so that every bride can try on their dream dress.
The first dress I tried on with them was a wild card and I LOVED it. Since this was my first dress and I had an appointment later in the day with a shop that charged for cancellations (which Signature doesn't do and I think that's so much better), I wasn't fully ready to commit. There were no high pressure tactics used but they said they would be happy to finalize it after the shop later that afternoon. They made the ordering really easy that night and I was able to get it ordered that evening and get a payment plan set up. As of right now, I am still waiting for the dress, but I know I'm in good hands as they're great at following up.
The part that prompted me to write the review now is how amazing they have been during the COVID shut down. They've been great at communicating and letting me know how my dress is doing. During the time their shop is closed they announced an online accessory sale. I hadn't finalized a veil and figured it would be a good time to do so. I emailed them asking for a few options. Instead of just sending links, the amazing ladies in the shop did one better. They put on my dress and modeled various veils and sent me multiple videos. I was able to share these over a video chat with my mom and pick one out.
The amazing employees at Signature truly care for their brides and have gone above and beyond to prove that. Their wide variety of dresses and their great customer service will make any...
Read morePRO: I was greeted with lots of smiling friendly faces at the front desk when I checked in. The consultant I was working with is Olga and she was amazing, I was by myself for my appointment and she did her best at taking pictures and videos for me to share with my family later. Olga seemed very knowledgeable about bridal gowns and told me to stop showing her pictures of dresses I liked and focus more on the way I want to feel, old school but I really enjoyed that of my appointment. She was honest on which of the 5 dresses I tried on fit my figure and which didn't, I appreciated that especially being there alone. The dresses I flipped through on the racks were all pretty reasonable in price as most were under/around 2,000. CONS: I'm a plus size bride, I'm 5'7 and have an hourglass figure and in street size I wear 14 in pants and a medium in tops so I have really big hips and small waist. Their plus size section is disappointing despite me calling the salon before hand to check on plus size sample dresses, and despite them being part of the everybody everybride collection from essence. I only tried on 5 dresses of which there was 1 I liked but will not be saying yes to. Most of the sample sizes that were plus size were A-line or ball gowns, there was very few mermaid, trumpet/fit & flare or sheath dresses in a sample size bigger than 12 or 14 (bridal sizes are smaller than street sizes so those did not fit me) I browsed up and down their racks multiple times looking for more form fitting dresses at a bigger sample size with not much luck. They do carry some gorgeous essence of Australia plus size sample dresses but ultimately it wasn't what I was looking for in terms of dress silhouette. If you're bigger than a street size 12 I don't think you'd have a lot of options here unless you plan on getting an A line...
