They TOSS your credit card at the end of each day if it is accidentally left there. I used my credit I paid and accidentally left it in the folder. When I returned they had closed EARLY (supposed to close at 9 but the lights were out by 8:45). Then I called when they were open and they said they THREW IT AWAY⊠for "safety" reasons. This is NOT an acceptable nor even a common practice. The credit card company actually owns the card--and a merchant is supposed to send the missing cards back to them (they even receive a fee for doing so). I checked the internet and then called around local restaurants and COMMON practice is to keep it in the cash drawer (or office vault) for at least 48 hours. It wouldn't have been too bad--except the person that I spoke with was rude as heck and told me they threw it away at the end of the day (but then again, they didn't even stay open until the listed time) and then he actually HUNG UP on me!! I had to pick up my daughter from the dance studio a few doors down, so I came in and actually ended up speaking with the same person who hung up on me on the phone--he turned out to be the manager! He seemed more apologetic, but also tried to defend his policy (it sounded like he was the one who implemented it). I just finished my meeting and was wearing my scout master uniformâor I probably would have verbally blasted him (if anything for how he responded over the phone). I have gone to this restaurant since the first week it opened, and again under new ownership. One of my sons worked there for over a year (longest running waiter they had). I'm sure I have spent THOUSANDS at this location (with a family of 7, plus at business meetings). First, I disagree with their policy. The manager explained that they had had a false charge from one of the cards that was leftâbut this would indicate a bigger problem (just as easily from receipts as cards)⊠so they setup THIS policy (Really? Are you trying to tick off your patrons?). Second, if they are supposed to be open until 9, then don't close early (I could have picked it up). Third--if the manager thinks it is fine to be rude and hang up over the phone (when a customer had every right to express his frustration)âthen reign him in or get someone else. BTW, it was the first time I ever left my card anywhere. I didnât lose my cardâI knew EXACTLY where I left it (they were the ONLY place I had used it), but they just threw it away before I could get it back from them. So, until my card is replaced I will not be able to use any ATM (I will have to take work time to go to the bank and get a lot of cash out), I canât get gas without going inside, I canât order my online movie tickets (my number is cancelled), wonât be able to get groceries without cash, I will have to change my kidâs lunch money account, my cable account, my propane account, my electric account, my ATT account, my insurance account, my Amazon account, my Apple account, my Vonage account, and every other account that used the prior card number (even once it is replaced). Their âpolicyâ is to throw the cards away immediately at the end of each day. Fine. My âpolicyâ is to give a POOR rating and explain this bad policy until I can get my card replaced (which will take 3-5 business daysânext week). I recommend they change their approach and consider a 48 hour hold (and store them where they put the VISA receipts)âthat should at least help those that know they left their card there (since it appears to be a COMMON), and will give them a much more reasonable policy to explainârather than âI threw your card awayâ (even if you try to collect it the very next day). I like their food and have been there a lot, but this is such a POOR policy they need to change it immediately. They are...
Read moreAfter arriving with two adults and one child, we were seated promptly with only one menu by a host who was rude and poorly dressed. I got up to grab another menu and asked about a kids' menu, which they donât have a childâs menu separate. The server came to take our drink order, and we ordered water all around, along with a kid's cup for my son. The server was the only one working for more than half the restaurant.
When he returned to take our food order, we started with an order of spring rolls. When four spring rolls arrived, we asked why there were four instead of one order. The server apologized, saying it was his mistake. Meanwhile, my son was still sitting with an adult glass in front of him, and he has spilled his drink many times in restaurants.
We finally placed our main order. My son's and my boyfriendâs food arrived, but both were served without rice. My son finally gets a kids cup at this point. They began eating while I took the opportunity to visit the restroom. When I returned to the table, my food had arrived. I had ordered the meatball and brisket pho, only to take a big bite of chicken. After 20 minutes of waiting, our server came back, and I asked him why I had chicken instead of brisket. I wondered if they were trying to save money on food costs, but I wasn't sure. I was then brought a plate of brisket and spent another 10 minutes picking out the chicken.
My boyfriend loves this place and goes there frequently. I have even bought him chicken curry to go, complete with a love letter attached, in the past. However, after todayâs experience, I will never eat here again. I will simply accompany him on occasion during his visits but wonât be eating anything myself. In my personal opinion, the food really isnât very...
Read moreThis time was a lesson. I will never be back. I took my daughter to eat there. It was near closing time when we arrived. We stood there no less than five minutes waiting to be seated. And employees did see us. Just ignored us. A man finally came out and said we had five minutes to sit down and make our order before the kitchen closed. Excuse me but did they really think I needed to be there that bad? I was thrown. I told the guy not to bother. He turned and walked away. Sorry but when did it become more important to please the staff than serve the customer? It is your business right? To meet or exceed the expectations of your customers? I guess itâs lore important your people clock out and go home on time.
I have to edit my original review. I went back for take out because it was good the first time. It was alright. Not nearly as impressed as the first time.
Went back a third time and we were fully disappointed. Order was completely wrong when we got it home. Chicken was dry as cardboard. Called and complained. They replaced the food but the result was not much better.
This is a cool little shop with multiple feels to it. Friendly bartenders. Smoothie shop that the kids tell me are awesome. I loved the pho brisket. Everything was to go which couldâve turned out iffy. But when we got it home everything was fresh hot and well flavored. The prices were a little better than expected for the area but a bit more than most pho shops in other parts of town. Egg rolls and spring rolls...
