02/03/2024 was the first warm and sunny saturday of the year. The percy warner police department decided to take advantage of local hard working citizens and write parking tickets. Of course people want to go to the public park and get some fresh air. I drove around for 20 minutes trying to find a real parking place. About 50 cars parked in the percy warner park side of page road. The cars were not damaging any property or causing any safety issues to traffic. No signs saying don't park here. It's a public property and we all have the right to safely park and use the area. The police officer claimed that a local resident made a complaint about cars parked here. So what? It's not there property to complain about. Instead of posting signs and giving parking warnings they decided to profit from them. A disgusting way of serving the public. I support police officers and EMS for their service but this is a small example of why so many citizens start to lose trust in them. I work really hard to be a good american citizen and do everything right to the best of my ability It's a very expensive world we live in already and you can't even go to a park without being penalized in america today. Speed trapped by the police back in July claiming I was speeding on a 25mile road. I was given a ticket with incorrect information. Went into the trial where a totally different police showed up making all the statement. I didn't point it out at the moment as I don't have any proof that he was impersonating.
