We changed to Florida Credit Union because of their location in Belleview. We banked with Chase, and Campus for years and never a problem. Since day 1, we had problems. I won't mention every complaint from day1, but I will elaborate on the last episode today 8/6/2025 around 3:55 and 4:00. My husband went to the the bank to make a deposit since we are slowly moving everything to FCU(not now), he had 4 - $100.00 bills and put his card in the teller machine outside, and then of course the $400.00. The machine went completely black and spit out his card to him, but no money back. He did not move and flagged them to come outside. The manager came out, Kenya Betterson(horrible attitude). She said he would have to fill - out a form and we would hear within 10 days. What???? My husband was furious, and she told him that he should of used the drive through or inside instead of the machine. So, let's blame the customer for using THEIR equipment that they provide to the consumer....hmmm what wonderful customer service and professionalism. Well, the problems that we have experienced with those girls is the reason we only use the drive up teller machine. Well, my husband filled out the form, and we are out $400.00. I never had a problem with Chase(so we are going back to them even though they do not have a branch in Belleview) I would rather drive 13 miles than be treated like this from such a disrespectful group at that bank. Of course, Kenya - the AVP Of Branch Operations was his point of contact through this ordeal. Very rude, unprofessional, and I am shocked that FCU allows this type of treatment and behavior. Is it that hard to find desirable help at FCU? This is unacceptable. UPDATE: Spoke with Shawn in Gainesville, and told him the situation. He said he was going to call the branch, and try to get some answers, within 1 hour. Well it is passed that 1 hour and Bank is closed, so I will hear something tomorrow and update the response and assistance that I get at that point. Read moreMoved my banking services to this branch due to having chase accounts and no branches in Belleview. I applied to have my line of credit payed off at my previous bank and took one out at FCU because the payment was 200 less a month and better interest rate. Was qouted the payment by the customer service rep and with my good credit I just waited for the closing. A different rep did the closing and was rude and seemed annoyed she had to do the closing. I just confirmed the interest rate and signed the documents to get out of there. Well 5 days later when I received my payments my payment was actually 25 dollars more than I was paying before. The customer service rep that gave me the quote could not explain why the payment was more and said she could not answer any of my questions anymore I would need to speak to the manager. Spoke to the manager who gave no customer service and only excuses. She informed me I only had 3 days to cancel the loan even though she determined the reason I got the wrong payment quote was because the rep figured my loan on a 240 month amortization not 120 month. I left feeling like a bought a used car not that I got a loan. I transferred a good amount of money from chase bank to savings at FCU the second it clears, which is another story, I am closing all my accounts and will be going straight back to chase.
