I don't feel like I was listened to or communicated with well by the stylist about my service. I was very clear on maintaining length and the type of perm I wanted both in the booking notes and when I arrived. I agreed to 4" being removed per the stylist citing it was too damaged to take the perm. I left with 8+ inches gone from my hair without any real conversation about it and why so much more length had to be cut. For context I am very tall (6') and had hair down to by butt, my hair now sits barely below my shoulders including the curl from the perm and almost to my shoulder blades when pulled straight. I wanted a loose beachy/body wave perm and left with a spiral perm that I have ZERO clue what to do with. I'm sure this stylist is very skilled at some things but not at providing what the client asked for in this instance. I would have appreciated more discussion before the service took place and certainly before I lost a good 8 inches of healthy virgin hair (12 total including the 4 I knew would be cut) - this represents YEARS of growth and left with a HORRIBLE perm that I now have to try my best to relax without chemicals as to avoid additional damage. It would have been nice to be told what I was seeking wasn't able to be achieved at this salon or by this stylist since clearly that ended up being the case. No styling instructions or after care/product advice other than to avoid washing for 48 hours. Service was just shy $200 and in total I tipped fairly. I was prepared to buy product recommended to me but was rushed out pretty quickly after the service was completed. Went there for the first time about a week ago. I had my first ever shellac manicure which I now like better than regular nail polish. They served me a great cup of coffee! My manicurist was Olivia. Nice gal, but if I go back to this place, and she's the tech assigned to me, I will either speak up regarding how I want my nails shaped or ask for a different tech. She did not do a good job shaping. Most techs I've ever had ask what shape you want. That didn't happen. I just assumed she'd ask.............my mistake I guess, because by the time I looked up at my nails, they were square and polished and longer on one side! They looked like they had a point on them. Place is close to my house. Been here 1 time before. The had a cancelation and used my appointment. Haircut was good but I didn't show the long layers as I thought. It looks like they just cut my hair straight across. But I was extremely shocked about the price of my eyebrow wax which included lip n chin. $44.00 just for that. Ridiculous. Haircut color. Blow dry came to 132.00.. I walked away with tip a total of $220. That's wat too much money. I don't recall seeing the prices posted. I don't think I will be back.
