Awful . Basically felt shamed in front every one. My friend and I booked on class pass and it didn’t say this class was an advanced class. It said sculpt 1. The reviews said good for beginners even. But that could have been for the whole company rather than that particular class. It was my first Pilates other than mat Pilates. The instructor Sandy comes up to me when the class is about to begin about to start in front everyone. Asking if this my first Pilates. I say yes. But I did mat Pilates before. She doesn’t ask any questions to my friend. She walks off and comes back looks me up and down and say if this class is more advance and she would offer the 2:30 class for me. Well, I am already here and waited for 15 mins and signed a waiver and I can’t take that time. So I say I will just try I taken a lot fitness classes both really hard and I can just sit out the hard types. I just wanted to get a feel for Pilates. I did have surgery three months ago but I got the ok from doctor and been taking regular barre classes & boot camp classes. Then her assistant and her come back again and start at it again that I shouldn’t do this in front everyone. Ok- I have been here like 15 mins you couldn’t tell me this when I signed the waiver in private and have to say it in front everyone. But never I had an instructor just keep discouraging me in front everyone before I even start. I kept saying I will just try it out . I will sit out the hard parts. She didn’t know my fitness level. We hadn’t even started. She never said any to my friend either just me. It was the way she was approaching it that just left a bad taste. She kept looking me up and down and saying she will offer me another private lesson. Why would I want another one from you after this!! I just felt embarrassed and just fed up so I left. I understand a class may be not intro level. I have done a lot of classes hard levels on class pass and they usually let me sit through the class and if I can’t follow - I just sit it out. Usually the instructor will come up later privately suggest a more suitable class. But the tact this was handled was appalling. Awful ! And the kicker my friend say it wasn’t even...

I got a targeted ad on social media for this Club Pilates location. I've been very excited to try pilates as I've heard nothing but great things.
As the week of the class approached, I realized the timing and location of the class wasn't convenient for me. I was so excited to try an intro I forgot to look for something closer to home and better for my schedule.
I emailed them to cancel my attendance. They offered rescheduling for the same time, different week. I explained that time doesn't work for me. They shared their full class schedule and I explained again I was sorry none of them worked for me.
The next day I received a phone call voicemail that did not acknowledge my cancellation and reminded me of the class time and socks needed. I called and left a message saying again that I wouldn't be attending and to please not contact me regarding classes again.
I then received a "no show" email asking me to reschedule for the following week. At this point I have no idea how to explain I'm not interested and have scheduled a Pilates class elsewhere. I called again to leave a voicemail and emailed showing that I had sent cancellation notice 3 days before the scheduled class. I realized 3 different people had contacted me separately and none of them must have communicated to each other regarding the cancellation after receiving my emails and voicemails.
They are probably a wonderful staff and very dedicated to providing fantastic classes. However their communication seems to be incredibly disorganized. It makes me slightly worried I might receive similar disregard at...
Read moreI’ve done over 100 classes here and I honestly just think I stayed because I didn’t want put in the effort to find another studio. I’ve completely avoided classes certain days of the week because an instructor has yelled at students before and shamed them in front of the whole class for doing the exercise wrong- which made me anxious to attend even when it wasn’t directed at me. One instructor would literally sit on their phone and bark exercises at us and say “good job” but never look up from her phone. Any time I DO find a good instructor they leave after a few months.
The availability of advanced classes outside of working hours with good instructors is limited. Sure it’s great if you have a lax job, you’re retired, or you’re a stay at home wife of a wealthy tech guy, but for normal people with normal jobs who need to work to even afford the membership it’s impossible to find good classes with good instructors at your level that aren’t during work.
I’ve had classes canceled on me on the way to class multiple times with nothing more than a sorry in return (according to reddit other CP studios give some sort of “cancellation grace” in the future). But if you’re going out of town for a couple weeks good luck scheduling all those classes because they don’t let you roll over classes between months (a policy that they must’ve changed because I was told that they would be understanding when I signed up and have had classes rolled over before) but my unpleasant interaction with the assistant manager about this policy was my final straw.
Grace and Kathryn were great...
