TL;DR — Clean, judgement-free weightlifting gym where highly educated trainers will get you where you need to go in your exercising journey.
General Comments: I’ve been working out at this gym now for over 2.5 years, since it’s opening back in 2020. The trainers at Goodtime are hands down the most knowledgeable and patient people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working out with. I have to thank Nate (the owner of Goodtime Fitness and trainer) for assisting me through every stage of my strength/body building journey.
How it compares to other gyms: In the past, when working out at other public gyms I felt as if I was being judged by regulars or highly experienced lifters. Even the gyms (such as Planet Fitness) which brand themselves as “Judgement Free” gyms suffered from this very same issue. However, at Goodtime Fitness you will feel respected and given the space necessary to grow… no judgement, no bs. It is a smaller gym and there are no machines so take that as you will, but that’s also not the focus of Goodtime Fitness. It focuses on practical and safe exercises/movements to get you to your fitness goals (again, all while being guided by a great training team). In sum, you’ll be working with highly experienced trainers while escaping thing more toxic characteristics of larger gyms.
Cleanliness: Not much to say aside from exceptionally clean and well kept!
Recent Malicious Reviews: There have been various 1 star reviews recently that have come from people who have never worked out at the gym before (hopefully they’ll be taken down soon). These people are simply upset that their cars were towed after they repeatedly and illegally parked their cars in spots around the gym. I ask that you look at the other glowing reviews about this gym. These recent malicious reviews are irreconcilable to the outstanding reputation that Goodtime fitness has earned since...
Read moreI started at Good Time Fit in January 2022 with Kathy Thai as my personal trainer. I’d never worked with a personal trainer before, and I’m the kind of person who isn’t disciplined enough to go to the gym regularly and lift weights on my own (not to mention being intimidated by others at the gym). I wanted to work with a personal trainer that was communicative, detail-oriented, and approachable.
From the start, Kathy has been super attentive to my fitness goals and progress. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about fitness, nutrition, and the body. Whether I have a simple question or am having discomfort/soreness during sessions, she always has great explanations and gives recommendations for regressions or improvements to my form. The programs she creates are great for building strength and mobility for the whole body. Even when there are other clients in the gym (semi-private sessions), she’s always on top of it. She’s so efficient, I never have to think hard about what my next exercise is or how many weights I need to put on the rack—it’s all taken care of for me.
Anyway, I’ve been going for a year now and I feel so much stronger and healthier. I can lift more than I’ve ever done before and it’s because Kathy helps me push myself to new limits. Not only is she committed to helping others achieve their fitness goals, she’s very motivating and friendly. I love chatting with her throughout my sessions. I look forward to my workouts!! Thanks so...
Read moreI worked with Nate for almost two years before he started his own gym. He was my trainer. I started with a promotion plan for new customer. I didn't expect I can go through the training at that time. But Nate made me believe in his philosophy and stayed into the program. I started with once a week and in the summer time twice. Every time, Nate work with me everything try to hit the best weight in squat, and we alternatively train another one, either overhead press or bench, plus a set of pull up. The training was not exhausting but it was very challenging and effective. After 6 months of the simple squad exercise, It surprised me how much my body has been transformed. I didn't lose weight, but l can tell I looked better and I felt stronger. Honestly squat is boring, but Nate took notes for every single set and it gradually becomes interesting because you started to measure and challenge yourself with your own record. Now I really appreciate what Nate has presented me the experience that I didn't have before. From time to time I feel proud of having a strong physical foundation and more confident in many sports I...
