Myself, our 11 year old and her best friend visited this salon for mani/pedi’s. The male (I believe owner), was very nice. The gal handling both girls was very rude the entire time and continued to call the one child “boring” for her choices. Not once, but a good 15 times, to the point of making her very uncomfortable. This was her first time ever having painted nails or toes. The paint was peeling off the following day, even with paying extra for shellac. Not long after, I developed a toenail fungus on two of my toes. Swollen, red and painful, with major discoloration of the nail. So bad my big toenail fell off completely in the end. I’ve been to many nail salons over the last 20 years, and this is the first to have ever come home with toenail fungus. Very disappointing. Unfortunately, the good reviews were misleading in this case. I don’t write reviews typically, but I wanted to save anyone else the...
Read moreWent for a walk in manicure. It felt rushed, the acrylic seemed to be applied well, but the polish is not good. It is so thin you can see through it and parts of the nail are uneven or not covered at all on the very tip and sides. My mom's look better and hers are two weeks old. I was in and out when people before me were still getting their manicures and acrylics done. If you don't have time for walk ins, don't accept them.
Also did not see the stations being wiped down between clients and brushes were immediately re-used and not cleaned. I even saw it when I was moved to a new tech in the middle of mine. It was an understandable mistake, I don't mind that and get that it can happen when you away a walk in right before a regular comes.
What I was hoping would be a good experience like so many others was unfortunately not and I wouldn't return for it to be fixed, either. I'll be learning to do...
Read moreI moved to Bellevue in May. Sandy's was the first place I went to get my nails done and I have been going ever since, every two weeks like clockwork to get Shellac manicures. Last time I went, I was given to someone who started soaking and scraping the shellac off of my nails. She was very cranky. Then she was told she had an appointment and she started muttering under her breath and talking to another lady. After a bit she tells me that someone else will be taking over. This was an older lady and she filed my nails so hard it was painful. They ended up so thin that I had one break THAT NIGHT, and I had to trim all of my nails to match. I was very displeased about how my entire experience turned out, especially since I always have had...
