My girlfriend and I went here two weeks ago (I waited to write this review until I saw how our nails held up). We walked in and they were mid-construction. Iâm talking full on walls demoed, plastic hanging, dust on the floor. They were brand new so we decided to look past it.
First issue was we had made an appointment but they were clearly incredibly understaffed. We waited so long that instead of both of us getting a mani/pedi, I left with only a pedicure and my gf left with only a manicure. They kept taking walk-ins even though staff was running around frazzled and rushing services.
Second issue was the services themselves. Although the staff was very nice and apologetic for the wait, the service received wasnât worth the wait. My pedicure was done by the owner of the salon. My pedicure consisted of filing down my toe nails, scrubbing my feet and cutting under my foot with the pumice stone to the point it was bleeding, and a rushed paint job. My pedicure did not consist of trimming my cuticles, using the pumice stone correctly to get callouses off my feet, and any sort of massage. I paid $53 for a painful and non-relaxing pedicure.
My girlfriendâs manicure was better but her gel nails peeled off after only a week and she also received no hand massage (I checked the description of their services and we both shouldâve received massages). The nail tech was run ragged and seemed to be doing the job of 5 people. We asked if we had come on opening day and she said the salon had been open for 3 weeks. Honestly not sure how theyâve managed to go for that long and not worked out a better system or have more complaints.
We paid, tipped, and just decided not to go back. But I do feel the urge to warn others in the area looking for a quality,...

I wouldnât say this is the best nail salon in Belmont⌠They charge high prices and do subpar work. Iâve gone to this salon four different times now. Iâve been getting my nails done for 20 years, if not longer. Iâm very loyal when it comes to my nail salons, and Iâve had to come here due to recent car issues (I live very close) they charge an extra $10 just to shape your nails, doesnât matter on the length. They also donât bring the acrylic or nail polish as close to the cuticle, giving your nails âa week old lookâ, and by two weeks, you have to get an immediate fill in, making your nails look as if you havenât gotten a fill in close to a monthâŚ
Premium Nail Spa in Charlotte is amazing. Theyâre only 15 minutes from Nail Tips location. I would suggest going there or any other place if you want good quality nails that last. GO THERE!
I tried to support literally my neighbor businesses, and itâs just like most Asian salons, itâs more of a factory. They rush you in and out and if you book an appointment even a week an advance, theyâre always late.
Back to this business, The prices are the highest in town and surrounding towns, and they donât even fill your nail in completely. I always have to file and shape my nails the second I get home, so why they charge an extra $10 for this blows my mind. When I was in the hospital, the nurses or giving me compliments on my nails, and I also complemented their nails and explain to me how much they hated the nails and how their experience was horrible, etc. Come to find out, they came to this exact Nail Salon! Save your money and spend it where itâs going to be appreciated and youâre gonna get a good quality...
Read moreMy girlfriend's been having a hard time getting her nails done for the last two days. She normally goes to Ann's nails on Franklin. She works all the time and has very little time to get things done for herself. She got there an hour before they close an got turned down both days. I saw her frustration an started googling places close by and ended up calling Nails Tips and Bar to see if they could squeeze her in and the gentleman that answered the phone was super nice and told us no problem to come on an take our time no rush. Of course we was skeptical at first she had never heard of the place an it was new to the area, but she needed them done an what the heck right so we gave them a shot. An to our amazement it was absolutely one of the best experiences an most genuine people we have ever meet. The lady that did her nails was Tracy an she couldn't have done a better job an she took her time to make sure she got what she came for. Tracy and her husband Micheal own the place an have been in business for 4 months. Michael took the time to sit an talk to us an get to know us. He offered us refreshments and just an all out amazing person. The experience made our day an put an everlasting first impression. My girlfriend liked them so much she wants to go out to eat with them. You just don't find that kinda customer service anymore. So with that being said "Ann's who"??? This is definitely where she will be going from here on out. So ladies do yourself favor an go check them out u...
