I've been bowling at this alley for about about 3 years now. At least once a week i go bowling and in my ~3-ish years of going to Aaron's I've never had a bad experience. One part of that comes from being a frequent bowler and taking the time to learn everyone's names and interests.
The second part is there prices. Let me be VERY clear when I say, my 2017 New Year's Resolution was to bowl at every bowling alley in the greater Kansas City Area and, I did. I paid every alley an ranked them all against each other. Aaron's is still is a better value compared to Kansas City's other alleys (Second best is Sterling Bowl in Independence btw...) There is no other bowling alley in KC where you can bowl for 2hrs for (Tues & Wed) for $12 (shoes included) or $1 bowling on Mondays. Some places do dollar bowling an others have similar specials but, no place in KC offers 2hrs of bowling for less while providing an equal experience! Compared to: Summit Lanes at $20/hr to rent a lane (shoes included); Premier at $15/hr (shoes not included) and Sterling Bowl at $13/hr (shoes not included).
To conclude, If you think I'm just speaking out of my ass check each bowling alleys' websites then check the Aaron's... I love bowling here! I will continue to bowl here! Christ! I'll probably go bowling today now that I think about it... And, you can bet your ass I'm going to Aaron's Family Fun...
Read moreThe golf course wasn't maintained. It was the beginning of spring so dried pine needles and pine cones were everywhere. Extra obstacles! Lol, that did make it more difficult and fun though! The water pools and rivers on the course weren't started yet so it made it difficult when a ball rolled into a pool. The golf clubs were bulkier and rubbery so that helped with scooping the balls out, but difficult to putter anywhere on the green. Some of the obstacles felt like they were haphazardly placed on the course without critical thinking, but just to be annoying. There were also no signs that would indicate to go into the center first before going to the golf course, volleyball pit and go kart area. Go into the center to play mini golf!!! The cool thing though is if you have toddlers, ask for the plastic clubs! Well worth it because my 3 year old's score was 4! And thry don't charge! ❤️ Overall, it's a $8 something a person mini course that's good for beginners and little ones! Be careful though because some of the rope that is meant to prevent a fall is missing along with some of the green! If my toddler backed up, she would have fell right into...
Read moreUpdate: General Manager and I had a great conversation and he explained children are welcome, there is just an additional clean up fee which makes sense with young children. I would have gladly paid it to have our party in a private back room. He has made things right and you do not see that very often with businesses. Most just do not care - but Mike cares that we have a good view of his establishment. I appreciate him taking time to speak with me and look forward to adding Aaron's back on to our birthday party cycle. With 2 boys - we love bowling, golf and games! Makes me wish I had just asked to speak to a manager from the beginning.
Awful customer service. Wanted to book birthday for my son and when I told them his age, woman said eww... yeah we .. I don't know if they let kids in that room. I respond with "there will be parents of every child there".. I told her "well if you don't want my money that is fine" ... It was just a very bad conversation that lost them business from my family forever. Not welcoming or helpful.. There are so many places to have a birthday party for kids, this place really needs to train their employees...
