The place is great if you wanna take 5 people to see a movie for under $50 but you'll get what you paid for in terms of the quality of the building and the screens.
It's a basic old school movie theater that I've been going to since I was a kid but it's run down af and although that can be easy to overlook once the lights go down you can't get past how small and sometimes ugly the screen is. Twice now my family and I have went into the same theater room to see two different movies at two different times and you can straight up see the support beams for it through the screen.. it's distracting and embarrassing they would allow that but we've also been assigned theater rooms where the screen was just fine.
When my family and I went to see "Wild Robot" some of the previews would play and than completely start over and play again only this time with subtitles and tha was a little annoying.
The staff is high-school kids for the most part but I've never had any of them be rude, infact everytime I've interacted with them they've been complimentary and helpful with one guy helping us save money by suggesting a specific kids related snack bundle for my two youngest that made them feel special and saved us money. Although the old man who's always been our ticket taker interacts with people like an autistic robot he's also never been rude.
My family and I live close by and this theater is nostalgic for me and with how cheap the tickets are we'll definitely keep...
Read moreI have been to this theater more times than I can count and I have always had a positive experience until yesterday!! We always get the refillable combo which is apparently the jumbo popcorn container and 2 refillable drinks because we have 7 people in our party. The girl at the concession stand rang up a number 1 which is not refillable so when 2 of my granddaughters went to the concession stand for a refill they said they only had a large container and to get a refill you needed the jumbo popcorn container!! So I had to go up to the concession stand to straighten it out. The employee that waited on us said she never waited on us when I told her she gave us the wrong order but I remembered her because she was the only one who had a turban on her head!! I asked if I could pay the difference between the refillable combo and the number 1 combo which is only $1.50 and the one I actually had ordered!! After paying the difference I asked her if we could get the jumbo container instead of the large one we were given the first time and she said no she would ONLY refill the container they gave us the first time which was smaller than the one I paid extra for!! So we got cheated out of popcorn the first time as well as the second time!! And all 3 of us missed 10 minutes of the beginning of...
Read moreThis place is a great place to watch a movie. It is a small theater but what it lacks in size it makes up for in character. First and foremost their matinee price can't be beat! Their pricing is a little over $5.00 for a ticket ($6.00 if you count the extra fee for buying them online, which is still a great price). The people who worked there are very considerate and even when it was busy they still provided great customer service. All soft drink sizes come with one free refill (this is great considering that some of the big box movie theatres only provide a free refill for only large drinks)! The seating was extremely comfortable and you can even lounge back in the chair. I would advise though if you are going to see a movie that is highly anticipated (Spider-Man No Way Home anyone?) It would be worth it to you to get there at least 20 minutes before the movie starts to get good seats and your concessions so that you will not miss any of the movie! This is a great local family owned movie theatre with lots of charm and good service. I...
