I really do like HEBs as a whole, but this location is such a let down, that I curse every time I’m in your store. My previous “home” store was Midland’s at Wadley & Midkiff. Due to my in-laws moving here I’d shopped both, concurrently, for year’s worth of mental side by side comparisons. For starters, the overall food selection here is worse, with less healthful options throughout the store. I miss frozen rhubarb, more high end deli cheeses, bagged tea variety, and tons more. There’s so many more HEB app coupons for this location that say “unavailable” because they skimp on food selection to make sure they have the hallmarks of a “Plus” home options. There’s fewer produce items (total variety count), and less available of those items. It seems like every other trip, something I want is out of stock, regardless of shopping day/time. That only happened once or twice per year at Midland. And their clearance is actually clearance (IE- more than 10% or 25% off). I’ve lost track of the instances that your yellow stickers are the same price as regular retail. And the amount of times you had to use MORE labor hours to RELABEL and lower the prices on items that weren’t moving is laughable from a logistics standpoint. I’d bought clearance items from Midland before, while the same ones sat on your shelf for MONTHS before it dawned on you that it still wasn’t a good deal.. Lastly, your cashiers make about 50% more mistakes during checkout- wrong PLUs, missing discounted meat/produce (that I purposefully group together to catch their attention), double charging, etc. An awful lot of my time is wasted at customer service, here.
Even though Midland is a “Regular” and slightly bigger, please take a page from 79707’s book and do better. So much more of my household budget is devoted to Natural Grocers (for quality), Aldi (for price), and Azure Standard (for variety) now that I live here, and that’s really sad given how much I came to love my former HEB, doing 90% of all my...
Read moreI've been shopping at this HEB for years and over the last few months it seems to have gone way down with the customer service especially. The cashier that checked me out today was so rude (Sherry J...that's right i called you out) I called and complained about her. She didn't say one word to me not hello, have a nice day, didn't tell me the amount of my purchase, basically didn't even look at me. When giving me my change she just puts it on the counter without saying anything and then proceeds to start checking out the next person. Whatever happen to customer service? This along with the fact that this HEB seems to run out of everything i need. I can't even get the cat litter i want most of the time. They seem to be so busy doing the curb side orders with the huge carts that take up most of the aisles and makes it even more annoying trying to get up and down the aisles on a busy day. The maintenance needs some work too. I wanted to wipe down my hands when leaving and no surprise to me...no hand sanitizer or hand wipes...just trash on the floor. I heard a woman complaining about the HEB also when trying to buy cat litter and she mentioned going to Walmart from now on...Walmart has been better lately to me also, but there are some things i get a HEB that i like better. Might just need to skip that and start shopping at Walmart from now on......Update 2/11/22 Has gotten worse on customer service. Some of the cashiers are rude and don't seem to care enough to greet you or even look at you. Very disappointing. I seem to have a way better experience going to Walmart. The two cashiers who were rude, happen to have their name tags turned around which was odd. If I didn't have to get a certain cat food, I wouldn't even bother with HEB anymore....In response to your comment HEB, I have talked with a manager and it did not seem to...
Read moreThere is one thing I love about the store. OK here’s just one of the many wonderful things. I’m going to talk about the meat market. PS if you want limes they’re $.19 anyway I’ll track. I got an eight dollar pound steak with .22 pounds it was about the size of the cut of a New York And if you wanted, it would only cost about $1.80 extremely affordable. It was choice the mid range grade and it was wonderful. They sell Wagyu steak for $20 a pound and you can get a Wagyu American style sirloin steak or ribeye for just 50 bucks not $100 compared to any other store you go to Just wanted to put this five star in in case anyone reads it I would recommend talking to the meat market people within hours it is definitely worth it bye sorry wanted to mention one more thing in case H-E-B reviews this I would like you to possibly make a thing a one dollar steak with asking of the meat market people also one more thing they’re very kind you should give them a raise I just remembered something if you go to the store and you have the H-E-B app you are able to get a free donut for the next three days I believe I mean yesterday I got a free glazed donut and it was really good. Another thing if you go to the bank inside of there You can exchange money for like half dollar coins and they have an abundance of that. The staff are wonderful and I’m 14 and it’s a little hard to do in instant winners OK so sometimes I am able to ask the employees if I can rock paper scissors them for an instant enterprise so sometimes if I manage to win, this is like once every two months I’m able to butsometimes there are some good employees that would be willing to challenge me and I have one some instant Enterprises from it only to watch in my life, but it was really fun...
