The food was great. Salsa was watery but all you taste is heat. I asked staff to bring cilantro. It helped. So I ate the special (sour cream enchiladas for 5.99). It was nothing spectacular but it was good. My daughter had the combo plate for 8.97 (bare with me about the prices. It comes in handy a bit later). The gentleman (A) that seated us, took our drink order, food order and then brought food. There was another guy (B) that awkwardly interacted with our table as well. He brought the chips and salsa. I asked A for cilantro when he brought food. Then B brought it to us. After the cilantro, NO ONE ELSE CAME TO THE TABLE. I eventually flagged down B and asked for a refill on the waters and a to go box. He took our cups and refilled them. I had to ask again for the box. I finished boxing and left plate at the edge where the waiter could grab it. B came back and took plate. My daughter and I sat there for 5 mins until I see someone else walk up to the register then leave. Great!!! Would have been nice if someone would have told me you don't get a bill. But no big deal. I go to the register and the lady say "Hi your total is $19.65." I give her my card. Now you're probably thinking about the prices I gave you earlier and the fact that we drank water. It doesn't add up huh? So while it's processing I ask to see the receipt. She attempted to give me the one from the credit card machine. I said "No, the itemized one please." She prints it, then hands it to me. The first thing on there is 2 house margaritas. So I tell her we didn't drink those and the lady questioned me. So I told her again we drank water. She then just grabbed the money from the register. I don't know how to feel. I'm glad I caught mine, but how many other people has this restaurant scammed by...
Read moreI go through the line and order 2 breakfast burritos with bean, potato, bacon, and cheese, then 2 drinks. There are no cars in front of us, and none behind. Me and my boyfriend wait 30 minutes in the drive thru for 2 breakfast burritos. Whatever its fine, i get home and both of the burritos are filled with practically nothing but potato. I cant seem to find any meat, or any bean. I give them a call, im like “hey can i get a refund or come up there to have them remade?” The lady said to come up there and she’d remake them. We go through the line again because no one is there, and the lady sticks her BARE hands into both burritos and points to the tiniest ounce of bean thats on both burritos, and the tiniest ounce of meat on both burritos….The lady by the name of Lydia then tries to RETURN the burritos in which her bare hands were in…i ask if she could remake them because i was very unhappy with the food, and im not going to eat the food in which her bare hands were just in??? and i had already driven back up there for them to be fixed. You think im going to drive all the way back from my home if i was even somewhat satisfied with the burritos? She explains to me that she can only remake 1 burrito, but not both. This lady already put her bare hand GERMS on both burritos, and is only offering to remake 1? I decline the offer, then ask for a refund and the manager said that they could only give HALF of my money back, or a gift card. The total was $24.64, and the lady hands me $8.50 back? Lydia was very rude and uncooperative, the rest of the...
Read moreGreat beef and shrimp fajitas. Flavorful salsa & queso. My favorite menudo! Try the bacon wrapped shrimp! You won't be disappointed. The interior of the place is unique as well. Waitress staff are friendly. My wife's favorite mexican restaurant.
Update: As of November 2024, there are many new employees and to be honest, they are not as good as the previous employees. Some do not understand English language as good as one would hope, not to be rude in any way but it has caused our requests to be misunderstood and/or delayed.
April 2025- The accuracy of the call-in orders has lowered tremendously over the last few months. I've found myself getting all the way back to Harker Heights only to find something missing or instructions for the order to have been disregarded or forgotten. Even when they repeat the order back correctly. It's highly frustrating and they always tie the bags to go so unless you untie the knot to double check, you're taking a gamble and they don't always make it up to you with anything more than an apology which is an jnconvenience to the customer to have to have paid for something they didn't receive and then have to come back a different time wasting more fuel/diesel all because the cook or employee failed to ensure quality assurance of the order. Customers should be able to come here without having to continuously double check their order. It's hard to overlook this issue after having happened...
