This was my first time here. I had to move my car, because it wasn’t made clear to park in the back and you aren’t allowed to park in the side lot. I do wish they’d had a sign out front or notice online about that, but I’m not holding this against them in my review. It’s just an FYI for anyone going.
The staff member I saw was great. Very personable and was amiable to my wishes. The receptionist was super nice too. I have nothing negative to say about either. They were very professional and did a decent job. It’s been a couple of weeks now, and I am happy enough with my results. I wish she’d been a bit more aggressive with the treatment, but I can understand erring on the side of caution.
I did have two issues however, and ultimately I have decided not to return because of them. After paying, I was asked immediately to review the business in return for a gift card. This felt very much like being paid off in return for a good review, especially since I was asked “Did you do it already?” after I had politely scanned their QR code. I don’t know why they thought I would have done it immediately since it takes days for my treatment to actually see results.
But the most egregious to me was the fact that I was asked to tip. On a medical service? From a medical provider? I have never been asked to tip before in this situation, and it really caught me off guard. I’ve been receiving this treatment for decades in several states/clinics and never been expected to do this. It wasn’t an iPad situation either where you can choose “no” or another amount and just be on your way. I was asked directly to my face by the person and they had to enter it manually while the nurse who did my treatment was standing next to me. It was awkward. I did tip since I felt pressured and concerned my nurse wasn’t being paid a fair wage. Considering though that I’ve never tipped any doctor, nurse, or clinician before, I found this tip solicitation very inappropriate. If this company is paying their staff wages so low that they need tips to supplement their income, then they need to rethink their business.
Ultimately the staff I encountered did a decent job (hence three stars), and I believe were just doing what they were told regarding online reviewing/tipping policy. I can’t fault them for that if it’s the case. If these two things don’t bother you then I would suggest giving this place a try. As for myself though, I won’t...
Read moreAfter 3 years of hesitation, I finally convinced myself to at least go for a consult, I did my research on procedures/services, costs, and locations. There are many to choose from in this area. I am thrilled that I chose C&D Medical Aesthetics as my first and hopefully my forever home for aesthetic services. They are hands down wonderful. I met all the staff that were present. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in the door. The environment in the office is so comfortable. My consultation was with Crystal Cook. She is AMAZING!!! She was very professional and knowledgeable. She took her time and explained the procedure/s to me. Crystal was so thorough. She told me about each of my product choices, pros and cons, and costs. What to expect after the procedure, possible side-effects, what to watch for, and Do's and Don'ts. After Crystal educated me, it was my choice of which product/s to use. There was no pushing of a certain product or higher cost product. I was able to make an informed decision best for me and my budget. It was clear what my costs were going to be, no surprises. I know. I said I was just going for consultation, but... Okay, I had this expectation in my head of results. LET ME TELL YOU. My mind was BLOWN. Crystal did OUTSTANDING! ABOVE and BEYOND that image/expectation I had in my head. BEAUTIFUL work. Crystal took my number and I took hers. Crystal has a permanent place in my contacts with a star. The next day Crystal messaged me to see how I was doing. 🥰 That is care for your client. If you've made it this far, Thank you. If you have been thinking about getting some services done, do your research, and then schedule an appointment with Crystal Cook at C&D Medical Aesthetics. Meet the staff. You will...
Read moreAs a nurse, I had flirted with the idea of going into aesthetics but always worked in the hospital setting. A few years ago, my sister started getting Botox (botulinum toxin) and soon after she convinced me to try it for the first time. I was so pleased with the results, the nurse injector was knowledgeable and meticulous with her work, I began to consider pursuing this new path a bit more seriously. Most jobs required prior experience and I did not know how get my foot on the door, so someone suggested that taking classes could help me get an opportunity in this field. The very first botulinum toxin/fillers class I took was online. It required me to complete several hours of online lectures prior to the live (via zoom) portion of the class. It was an overwhelming amount of new content and we covered so much ground in one class, I did not get to practice all the skills I learned. I recently took the C&D botulinum toxin course, and I am beyond happy with the experience. The lectures were interesting and comprehensive, and I felt confident about using botulinum toxin, and understanding the differences between brands and their indications. After the lectures, the instructors helped me develop a plan for the client, correctly identify injection sites, and use safe injection technique. At the end, the instructors supervised me performing my first injection on a model, allowing me to practice my new skills. If you’re considering going into aesthetics, TAKE THIS CLASS! You do not need to have previous experience to succeed. This course covers everything you need to know, the instructors are friendly, the content is very manageable, and you will get the hands-on experience you deserve. I truly enjoyed...
