Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Belton

I won't be going back to the Belton location. Husband and I stopped by before work to get a donut and kolache, mind you there is a elementary school right next door on right side of road, there were cars parked there we thought they were dropping kiddos off so we got in line, not knowing they were waiting in line. After a few minutes of being in line we heard someone behind us yelling it turns out this person went inside and complaints and manager that we had cut the line. When we got to the window instead of the manager politely asking what happened or addressing the situation she was rude and stated that she would appreciate if we would be more considerate of other customers because a "regular" came in and complained that we had cut the line I tried to inform her that we did not realize they were in line. At this point yes my husband was upset because when the customer was walking in the store she was screaming like she was crazy at us, and due the manager being rude, he told her that he didn't care if that customer was a regular customer that our money was just as green and we did not intentionally cut anybody he again asked her if she intended on taking our money or serving us and she said she did not care as we got ready to leave her and the rest of the staff decided to chime in "bye" in a snide manner I did report to...

I have been coming here since I was a kid, getting the bull's eye donut, A donut without the hole (all one peice) with some white frosting scooped on top and sprinkles.

A few years ago they changed the recipe for the frosting where instead of being white and fluffy it's more like goo.

But, hey it's more or less the same donut so I wasn't too bothered then slowly but surely the donut became smaller and less pillowy until it was about half the size that it regularly used to be.

It may be smaller but I still get it because the memories this brings me.

Finally, today I go and get my regular donut to find a stale\possibly over done donut, a random donut hole placed on top like a cheap imitation and barely any of the frosting which was already mediocre at best.

I guess like all memories the good days have to end...

Tried to like them 3 chances worth, same sad results. Received a coupon in the mail and went to the location it was mid popular time so I did not expect to have a bunch of product to choose from which was the correct result. I purchased a kolache and a donut I'm going to submit the pictures that I took of the kolaches while the dough on the first one was clearly old that it's been sat for awhile the second one the breading was not bad these are purchased commercial products that are heated up nuked whatever and rolled out as fresh cooked if not they're using commercial products to get that like a slice of cheese and a previously cooked sausage the donuts were lack-luster, flavor-less both HEB and Walmart equally serve better and fresher I would not...
