Mary's always has friendly staff, even the younger staff will likely surprise you. Now, I haven't met many cookies I don't like. If I'm offered cake or a cooke, I'm picking the cookie every time. I quite enjoy the quarter-pound variety cookies made here. The iced cookies can be hit or miss, in my opinion, but icing/frosting in general is hit or miss with me. They can come off a touch too sweet, and sometimes the iced/frosted cookies are a little underdone. Seasonally, the molasses crinkle cookies are my all time favorite. The S'mores cookie is a temptress. You can never go wrong with the classic Snickerdoodle. Stop in, say hi, and support this little shop. It is, apparently, the only one in Missouri! I was about to just pick up a cookie cake from price chopper on my way to my moms. Then decided hey, let me support a local business. I decided to call in, and see if they make cookie cakes. The lady was sweet, and said of course. What are you wanting? I told her everything, and she was so sweet! She took my payment and everything so when I went to pick it up, it was ready! I get to my moms, and give her the cake etc, and she's like your sister just got one from price chopper, and this one is so much better than it. It's fresh, tastes so good, homemade, and was lovely! Thanks for making a cookie cake be the highlight of my moms birthday. Something so small can go a long ways. I appreciate you guys, and your wonderful service. I usually love this place...but today I am a little bummed. I ordered the Cookie Dough Parfait. I received a cup filled with just warm cookie dough. When I let them know, the sweet girl on the phone said she didnt know what the edible parfait was, and that she thought it meant just cookie dough, so thats what she gave me. I explained that it typically comes with ice cream mixed in - to make it a parfait. She apologized, and its fine, but I hope this helped her learn the menu item so the next customer enjoys what they order. The date on the bottom of the cookie dough also says 9/25, and today is october 18th. I'm hoping it was frozen until very recently, because it was very warm when it arrived to me.
