I have just one word for this pizza - delicious! We had just come into Bend, OR from the first leg of our multi state journey. It was approximately 8 hours on the road including traffic and construction slow downs. We picked this restaurant because the menu items were appealing and the pics looked really cool. The average star rating wasn’t high but I wanted to try it. I’m so glad we did. They were a little busy when we came in and apparently had and error to an order from their site and the staff and manager were running around speaking directly with the customer and doing whatever they could to take care of them. I was happy to wait when asked. The staff though a little flustered were patient and very knowledgeable about their menu and the customer service was wonderful. We ordered 2, 8pc (small) pizzas with 3 toppings each. We also ordered one beer and a soda. Since we had no idea how it all worked the staff told us they would get the beer right away, I could get my own soda and as soon as the pizzas were up they would bring them out. True to there word, the pizzas took maybe 15 minutes..I had also asked if we could move due to the air conditioning being on and aimed right down at us. So they turned the unit off for us! There were 3 AC units over 3 good size tables so it didn’t affect any other customers. I’m going to tell you this was the best pizza I have had in probably 10 years. It was perfect! Not too crisp, not too doughy..just right and the sauce was amazing. If you ever come to Bend, OR..this is the place you want to go for pizza. Next trip I’m trying the burger....
Read moreI usually don't leave reviews where I say that 0 stars are deserved but I just walked out of this place in tears and can honestly say that this was one of the rudest and worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. I placed a pickup order on Grubhub for two burgers. I picked up and thought everything was fine, but then when I got home I realized the orders were made wrong. Mainly just that they put cheese on the burgers when we had asked for no cheese. The burger was a BBQ sauce burger and it was also missing BBQ sauce and had A TON of mayonnaise on it which isn't listed as an ingredient. I called the restaurant to let them know that I would be coming back to get the burgers without cheese. The woman who answered the phone was pretty rude and basically argued with me saying that I didn't put no cheese. I told her that I could show her my border that clearly says it and she said she'd verify on grubhub and basically hung up on me. When I got to the restaurant to pickup, the cook was literally complaining about me to someone else and rolling his eyes calling me names and truly being rude. O pointed out to the cashier that it was pretty unprofessional and rude for him to be complaining about me where everyone can hear and she brushed me off saying he was just explaining the situation. I'm not sure how anyone can be this rude. To top it all off, the burgers were WAY over cooked (not sure if this was intentional since the cook was upset), but we threw them away and after everything else we won't...
Read moreSo let me start off with saying, I am a bit of a critic when it comes to eating out. With prices increasing and personability and care lacking it's become more and more difficult to justify taking your favorite people out to eat. Although I ate alone on a Saturday afternoon, I chose to see what this place was about. Upon walking in it was not what I had expected or heard about. The order was easy and the waitress was helpful when asked what all was on an item of the menu. Approachable but not overly chatty when your stomach is screaming at you to feed it (mind if it's own). The wait for food was as expected for a fairly dead Saturday afternoon. Upon receiving the order, the first thought was lack in side. But really let's be honest, how many of us finish every fry on the plate after the heaviness of a burger. The mushroom Swiss with added blue cheese on the other hand was stunning. Brushed with butter on the bun. I couldn't have asked for better flavor. The toppings where crispy fresh and no tomatoes butt ends (other restaurants reading this... You know who you are!) The atmosphere was quiet even with families and children. That's a hard personal enjoyment but if I were to suggest anything maybe turn up the music the chef is listening to (won't say evanescence is ever bad). All this said, a warm welcome on the walk out was delightful to top off the experience. Highly recommend you have a nice night out and trust those at Deschutes Junction to take care of you when cooking at home is just...
