Excellent! The Burger Shack has a good location on Market Street, downtown Benton. The building is next door to the Royal Theater and is a former soda fountain (I think.). Was fairly busy when we arrived, but we got a table quickly. Wait staff was quite attentive and took our order after helping us with the specials. Wife got a hamburger & I decided on the open faced chilli cheese burger. Took longer than fast food restaurants, but not excessively so. When the food arrived, we understood the extra time. Each of the meat patties were hand formed (one on her sandwich, two on mine!) Lots of meat in the chilli and a goodly portion as well. Haven't had a sandwich like that since the old Sambo's chain went out of business, & theirs only had one patty! Wife said her burger reminded her of the ones she go many years ago in the small town she grew up in. Prices were more than fast food but not bad, and really, for what we had, seemed right. We'll be back Friday for that daily...
Read moreTlDR: the low rating is $50 for drink, cheese sticks, burger, fries, shake. No prices on menu..... I like the logo. I like that its in an older building. The advertising on the tables is a bit much. Fries were not salted, or if they did salt they used a granulated salt instead of a salt that would adhere to the fries better when the came out of the oil. Peanut butter shake was perfect. Mozzarela sticks were average. The burger was interesting. Certainly enjoyable. The fries were cooked perfectly and fresh only issue was the lack of salt. It is essential to salt fresh fries in a timely fashion. The menu had no prices, so when I was rang up for something that would cost about 25-32 anywhere else. I was shocked. Its family owned. The interior has a lot of contrasting themes, but I like it. I'll never go back, but the food wasnt bad, wasnt the greatest thing either. Limited hours, i guess they cater to the locals on lunch hour. Its worth at least one visit. I will give...
Read moreI have been wanting to visit here for several years. I haven't been able to make it because of their short hours, they're only open from 10:30 to 2:30 Monday through Friday. I wasn't going to be able to make it today but I went ahead and ordered via bite squad. I ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon, fried pickles, fried onion rings, french fries, and a chocolate shake. I had some delivery issues I think. The bottom bun on the hamburger head dissolved in one spot, and the french fries were warm but just okay. The fried onions rings were out of this world. The fried pickles pretty good but because of their small size they were a little colder... So I think these (and the fries) would be much better not delivered. The chocolate shake, oh my God so good. All in all the food was pretty good. The upshot is, I need to go back and...
