EDIT - tried it again (8/10/23) & it was GREAT!!! All of it. Good food quality & service. And we were allowed to sit at the bar! Thanks for making it better - we need you in Benton!
What in the world?? We like to eat at the bar when restaurants have them. We walked in, asked to be seated at the bar and were told no - 23 minute wait. Ok - I realize that if the kitchen is backed up - doesn't matter if the order comes from the restaurant or the bar - same issue. Totally cool with that. Looks like they have seating for about 15 or so people around their bar. We saw 2 ladies eating and 1 guy just drinking. So we said we were fine to wait - just wanted to sit at the bar and have a beer while we waited. We were told no. When I told the hostess having 2 beers while we waited had zero impact on the kitchen AND the bar was basically empty she offered to ask a manager. We saw her walk to the back of the room where we watched her ask someone who was leaning against the wall - not expediting food, not helping another server or customers - just standing - only to have the hostess return to us and say "No." It takes 30 seconds to pour 2 drafts - if the manager had bothered to come pour 2 beers (assuming the bartender was over extended and therefore managers should chip in when their servers need help) we would have gladly waited however long we needed to to order food and sipped some drinks. But we were literally turned away. This was our 2nd visit although we didn't stay this time. The 1st time there were issues, but we decided the restaurant was just new and it would get better. I don't think turning customers away from having a drink and waiting is getting better. I gave it two stars because your servers at the WLR location are great. SOMA - once we got seated it was great too but the hostess is always difficult. Dining out is a 2 way street these days - customers need to understand restaurants are understaffed but why are businesses discouraging people to even wait?? Why are they ok with people walking out? I was a bartender at a chain restaurant that went on a wait almost nightly. We busted our behinds serving customers 2 rows deep around the bar during a wait AND we stayed nice. I just...
Read moreI came here on 9/16 and dined in for lunch. It was a great experience. Our server was terrific! But I called in on 9/17 to order to go at 9:30 pm. The woman who took my order on the phone (Nala M) was coarse and short with me when i was trying to place my order. She said, “It will be done in 15 minutes, and you have to give your card over the phone if you want to place an order. We close at 10 pm so that you know.” i said okay, see you soon, and she hung up without saying anything else.
I am not from here; my dad passed away a few days ago. I am here to make final arrangements with my sister as he lives in this town. The day before, I thought, “Wow, my dad would have loved this place.” today, i think, “Wow, my dad would have said forget it on the phone; I'll go somewhere else.”
When you're grieving, it's hard even to want to eat. You lose track of time and realize, “Wow, I haven't eaten today.” Being kind in customer service would not be so difficult, but I guess not.
When we came in at 9:45 pm, the food was not ready. Nala, the person working who took my phone order, had a severe attitude. She then went to the area where the Togo orders were and asked the kitchen rudely, “Where's the Togo order?! " That's when I realized this was just this woman's general attitude when we came in. I get you want to go home. It's the night's end, but your hours say 10 pm, and we called in to order at 9:30 pm. I feel bad for the kitchen staff. This woman sounds awful to work with and has a hostile work environment.
After tonight, I won't be back. That's not the kind of energy i want to interact with or consume. 🤮 it's very rare for me to write a review like this, but it was a...
Read moreI’ve been to R n’ R sushi twice in the last week, once for lunch by myself, once for dinner with my family. My overview of this place is that is is a nice little sushi restaurant for people that don’t know anything about or are scared of real sushi restaurants. The service at lunch was wonderful. I was one of 4 tables in the restaurant. (It was early) The service at dinner was adequate. (It was busy) The food was okay. The “Stage Divers” were served with 3 sauces at lunch, only 2 at dinner. The tuna roll was not served with the sauces that the menu says it came with. The waitress said that she could bring me a side of sauce if I wanted. What I want is the food to come out as the menu describes it. The rolls…are all very similar. 1/2 the rolls come with cream cheese in them. 2/3 of the rolls have tempura shrimp in them. There’s just very little creativity in the menu. There is no sushi bar. The only sashimi that is offered is tuna, salmon & yellowtail. You’d think with a more limited selection the place might have been a little less expensive. No. $14 a roll average price, which is not expensive for sushi restaurants preparing fresh seafoods in front of you. But for what this place is. $120 for 2 adults and 2 kids under 12 to eat dinner (no alcohol) is borderline ridiculous. This place is “Sushi Restaurant LITE”. There are MUCH better complete sushi restaurants in town. But if you want Sushi Lite, there are worse places you could go. I have 35 years experience in the restaurant business, 5 of those in traditional Japanese restaurants. Also. No Disabled parking anywhere near...
