T.J. Maxx — Local services in Bessemer

I came into the store today around 3 I located a necklace I wanted to buy. I stand at the jewelry counter for 10 minutes while having a sales associate from the dressing room and one stocking cosmetics look at me multiple times. I finally call the store from my phone and ask for help at the counter. After another 5 minutes, the lady stocking cosmetics comes over and says I just thought you were looking I told her what I wanted she hands it to me. Its a $20 necklace. I have several things in my cart but as she hands it to me she says I will have to take it up front. I was not done with my shopping yet but decided I was done at this point. I put back the items I had and go to buy the necklace because it was for a special occasion and what my son’s girlfriend wanted. I get up front and the lady comes with the necklace and hands it to the manager who then starts looking at me like I was trying to steal something. I assure you I will mot ever steal anything much lesa a $20 costume piece of jewelry. The manager attempts to smooth over things but she has already done the damage. I will not ever come back into this store again. I usually shop there once a week...

Stopped in tonight while trying to wait on a storm to pass outside. This store impressed me on many levels. 1. It was less than an hour till closing and not once did I feel rushed to finish my shopping. Every employee I encountered was cordial and and attentive never giving off the feeling they were just ready to go home because it was almost quitting time. The thing that really blew me away though was how clean and organized the entire store was. Especially the cosmetic/bath and body section. Everything was neatly stocked so you could shop without digging through piles of this and that. Even the clearance in that section was organized and tidy. No spills. No mystery substance on every thing you picked up. I normally go to the TJ Maxx about 10 mins from my house but from now on I'll travel the extra 20 mins and come here instead. I made a point of stopping a lady working in the cosmetics and told her how impressed I was and if that they should use this store as an example to others on what the standard should...

I often vist this store at least 3 times a week. Picking up my favorite snack,that is very health and help me cut the craving of sweets with diabetes.( I have al my co wokers hooked on the Ginger chews ) I also come often and stay smelling and taking pictures of the men's cologne.
