Words can’t begin to express the joy that Randy, Chris and the team at Bicycle Connection has brought to my family. Most importantly: This is a professional bike shop with talented mechanics and product knowledge that rivals all. I purchased two "beach cruisers" for my wife and a guest who visits us but this review is a result of my personal experience. As a larger male figure... I completed significant research online and found a product in which I expected to exceed any products within the store and offering to accommodate my size for comfort and strength. The Bicycle Connection Bethany Beach shop was willing to receive the bike directly shipped and construct. The first bike that arrived was missing multiple components and the shop was inconvenienced to have to return it. Second bike was received and this assembly wasn’t missing any components however the skilled technicians found issues with the braking system. Mind you… this bike purchased from a third party was not a cheap product… it was almost $3,000. Back the second bike went! The patience and flexibility of the owner and team are amazing especially during such peak times as two major holidays. Randy and Chris recommended I try a configuration vs. order a third bike. The configuration they provided with a customer options (seat and pedals) was surprisingly comfortable a 1/3 the price! I had an outstanding experience at Bicycle Connection while shopping for bikes for my six-year-old twin sons. Initially, I was set on 20-inch bikes based on online research, but the staff’s expertise made all the difference. They encouraged my boys to test both 20-inch and 24-inch models, patiently observing their comfort and fit. Their recommendation to go with 24-inch bikes was spot-on—my sons ride confidently, and I’m thrilled knowing they’ll last longer, saving me from buying new bikes again in the next couple years.

I also brought in my own bike for a rear derailleur repair, and the team impressed me again by completing the job same-day, with the shifting now smoother than ever. The staff was fantastic—kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient with my kids, who were buzzing with excitement. I can never say enough about the service and professionalism that i have always recieved at Bicycle Connection. The entire staff is as friendly and courteous as it gets, and their knowledge of all the different cycling styles is unmatched. Mike and Chris went above and beyond a sale to help me surprise my wife for Christmas with the two Trek mountain bikes i purchased for us. They will do whatever it takes to set the customer up with their perfect bike, from the bike itself to any accessories the customer wants. You will also get the same quality of service wheather your bike was purchased from them or from someone else. These guys are as good as it gets. With all the experiences ive had with BC, i can never imagine taking my bicycling buiesness anywhere else.
