Godfrey Daniels | Live Music Listening Room — Local services in Bethlehem

November 12, 2022 This is a fantastic Music Hall, intimate comfortable surroundings and really great, friendly staff. I got to see a long time Guitar Hero that I've never seen live before. Sadly, it was a bit of a disappointment when it came to the second half. There was some subtle music from a sound checking band two doors up. We could just hear it behind his talking even though it was subtle. He shared a story of once playing at a fairgrounds and "sound was coming at him from all areas of the fairgrounds" and yet the peole listened and he played on....... So we thought he was joking when he set his guitar aside and then announced that he "couldn't perform under these circumstances". Management spoke with the group a couple doors up and the sound check subsided for what would have been the last 20 minutes of his show, however, he "moment of creativity" was gone and the show stopped there. The artist went traight to the merchandise table to bid everyone good night.

Fantastic player to say the very least, so lyrical with the guitar, incredible musicality and Technical ability but disappointing to see a musician of his caliber and experience "pulled off center" so easily and more to the point, without recovery. At the expense of everyone who came to see him.

In spite of all of this, the staff was great. Had a really nice evening (1st set) with some homemade cookies chai tea that I got for the two and a half hour road trip back home.

Godfrey and Daniels Coffee House is a great community...

I simply cannot wait to visit this legendary place on Saturday 6/21 to see Jeffrey Gaines!!! Never been there before, but I am super stoked!!!

UPDATE!!! Godfrey Daniels is a simply AWESOME PLACE!!! It is TRULY a very intimate venue to see live music!! Situated on a beautiful tree lines street with plenty of parking options and a very friendly staff!!! The 'listening room' is acoustically perfect, and even when full of people, feels roomy and not cramped!!! The Jeffrey Gaines show was amazing, and he even played like 10 minutes past the establishment's closing time!!!! It was the first time I've been there. It was easy to find, I found parking a block away. It has nice warm friendly atmosphere, the coffee and cookies are awesome. The volunteer staff were very helpful. The listening room was medium size but didn't feel crowded, it was a sold out event featuring Seth Witcher and his band. The sound was exceptional, not to loud and very clear. I'll definitely see more performances there in the future,...
