Yesterday, I came to the âSUMMIT BELKâspoke to a really nice lady concerning getting a ring and she stated there will be a trunk show with âLe Vian Trunk showâ tomorrow you can put your name and number in the appointment book they will have other merchandise I may be looking for and I can get an extra 20% off if you set an appointment which I was happy about so I did it because they had a ring I really wanted! Well, Today (01/16/24) tried to see what time SUMMIT BELK opened since we had some bad weather(snow/ice) the night before. Well, of course no one picked up when I called around 10:00 am, 10:30am, the automated system was still stating that BELK opened up at the âregular hoursâ so I went to SUMMIT BELK got there at 11:30 am and they were CLOSED!!! My 1st problem is they could have updated the AUTOMATED SYSTEM to say they were opening later due to weather! 2nd when I was there employees were arriving but customers were going up to see if they were open EMPLOYEES OF BELK WERE COMING INTO THE STORE BUT DID NOT HAVE THE COURTESY TO PUT UP NOTIFICATION TO LET THE CUSTOMERS KNOW WHAT TIME THEY OPENED (LOSING MONEY đ° BELK) !!!! Once I got home I called SUMMIT BELK and I spoke to âDaveâ I tried to explain to him I had an appointment with the jewelry department and he stated it was canceled mind you as Iâm trying to explain the situation he was interrupting me, very rude and nasty so I just asked for his supervisorâs name after he kept being so rude with me I had to ask him for it 3 or 4 times he had the nerve to say âwhat would I need to speak to her forâ? Excuse me? I told him you can say yes or no you can give me her name or not which he finally gave me her name âChristina Bryantâ which it may or may not be her name and unfortunately this is not the first time I had a bad experience at this particular BELK! You would think I would have heard from the supervisor by now for an escalated issue or any supervisor but I have not! This all boils down to itâs not the fact the store was closed it was just at least update your AUTOMATED PHONE SYSTEM TO MAKE CUSTOMERS AWARE OF THE UPDATED TIME OF OPENING AND BELK WEBSITE. I asked Dave was he a manager and he stated âyesâ.

Sam is one I highly recommend to wait on you he is very professional and proficient. It's just a sharp guy in every way including being very articulate and patient. He's also a great listener. My shipment came one day earlier than I anticipated. I also saw the same thing in a young lady by the name of Debra that works in Costume Jewelry and back in 2015 she open up my Belk account she just happened to be standing in the right place at the right time when I was interested in one of the Frye handbags as well as the Dooney Burks handbags. Neither salesperson put pressure on me they made suggestions and guided me. My standards are high and they met my standards. If I were hired as a shopper I would give them a 10 in every category. Since I earned 35 Sales Awards in 30yrs in Big Ticket items. These two sales rep deserve a raise and an award. Again they are highly competent and they both are a natural. I like that. Debra at The Summit here in Birmingham Alabama also excited me when she told me about Louis Vuitton handbags coming soon sometime this month so I don't have to go to Saks. Sept.12th 2018. I was disappointed however when I was informed that the Frye shoulder bag also named Debra with a different spelling of Debra was no longer sold at that store. This handbag sales for approx $600 usually on sale for $400. Oh I forgot to mention the elite sale that's coming up this month with an additional 25% off regular and sale price items on shoes accessories and Fine Jewelry and free shipping over $99. Huge store with very similar store design to most of their other locations. Spacious to walk around. Well marked areas makes it easy to find products and navigate easily. Had mixed set of customer service experience. Ladies section service members were quite helpful while Men's section, not so much. Customer service can depend on various factors but overall its decent and won't ruin you store experience.
You can probably get a better price in similar stores or online, so wouldn't hurt to check other stores to compare and then make a decision. Visited during the holiday weekend, so many clothing items were in disarray but off-season might be a different story. Good number of choices and decent discounts on some.
They do carry moderately priced as well as high end/luxury brands too. Very good feature to have in a store to cater to a bigger audience. Very conveniently located, so you should not have any issues finding the store. Located on a corner, so hard to miss it. Plenty of parking available around the store.
Do visit but definitely research product prices...
