Im a mom, and although my daughter is 20, I always acompany her to anything she does to support her on. A few weeks back, an ad was posted on Snapchat stating that they were looking for actors ages 5-50 for an up coming Tyler Perry. I saw it and immediately applied for my daughter. Shes an aspiring singer, and I thought it would be a great opportunity. When she went to the âauditionâ, they made it seem as if she was auditioning for the tyler perry movie role. They told her they liked her, acted as if she had made it passed the first evaluations, and then asked her to come in the next day dressed all in black. That day, she met with a lady that asked her a series of questions about her wants, her goals, her height, and even took measurements. After the lady finished her part of the âinterviewâ she said: âok so if you make it â by the director of the agency you have made it. She then excused herself and said she was going to meet with the director she spoke about to give her feedback on what she thought about my daughter and said that she would make the final âdecisionâ. đ She then stated that if my daughter âmade itâ she would know it that same day. She then left to speak to the supposed âdirectorâ, and at that point i felt that this woman was acting and it all seemed like a role play. So I went online to research them and their reviews ( yes a lil late but we are completely new to this auditioning & acting stuff) and BAM, I found all the negative reviews on them being a scam and taking peoples money. I was really upset but remained calm and told my daughter that I had just read reviews on them being a Scam. I explained to her that from what i just saw it seemed as if they do this by making their victims feel as if their being âchosenâ so that they can think they are special, and won this grand opportunity. I told my daughter: âhow much do you want to bet that the other person WILL come in and say that she has made itâ! Well, 2 minutes later, the second lady walked in and said: âCongratulations! You passed and have made it the final evaluationâ.. (my daughter and I just looked at each other and just smiled). The lady then took out a contract and said that my daughter just needed to sign it. She briefly skims through it saying its 500 down, 39.99 a month there after, and places a pen next to it. (Mind you we were only there to audition for a movie)... I immediately jumped into the convo and told the lady that we would not make a decision there and then, and wanted to take the contract to discuss it with my husband (at that point I wanted to see what shed say).. the lady then said, âoh, well you can call him now and ask him, ill wait. đł.. I was shocked at how insistant this lady was being. I then said: âIm sorry but my husband is going to want to see this in personâ and then the lady said: âok, well you can send him a picture, we have to get this done today because today is the last day and the auditions will be closed after todayâ I then said: âWell I'm sorry we need time to make a decisionâ..( I was already seeing her desperation and insistance) She then quickly said that she would just leave us alone so that we could call my husband and shed come back. We were so disgusted and appalled at these people. I can only imagine how many naive people they do this to and fall for this. The crazy part was that they never mentioned the Tyler Perry movie casting, which was the main reason we had applied. At that point, I told my daugher to tell the lady we said no, and I left before she got back. My daughter said that when the lady came back she told her that we had decided to not proceed with it, and the lady still tried to convince her to sign the contract by saying that she had comercials lined up for her that shed be good for. Ultimately my daughter stood her ground and said no thank you and left. I truly believe that there is something wrong here, and these people should be investigated. PLEASE BEWARE... Dont give them your money, This really seems like a...

Since I canât get in touch with them privately I guess I'll get a response from them here.
A few months ago, I saw an ad on Facebook about applying to be a background actor of an Adam Sandler movie. As an aspiring actress, I applied. The next day, I received a text message asking if I could come into Nine9âs office for an open call. I was pretty confused, but at the same time, kind of excited, so I went. When I arrived, I âauditionedâ (which included an âinterviewâ where I talked about myself.) I received a âcallbackâ for the next day, which consisted of them telling me that they would love to have me join. Now hereâs where It really started going downhill. They informed me that there would be a $500 initiation fee, in addition to a $39 monthly fee , for what exactly? I donât even know. Supposedly to be up to date with the class times and casting notices, ( which have been TRASH, but I digress). I guess I was excited because unlike other agencies ( or whatever you want to call this), they donât take a percentage of your earnings when you book a gig. So, I went through with it. THEN I proceeded to get headshots taken of me in the office, which were HORRIBLE. THEY even know that theyâre horrible, and thatâs how they get you to spend more money on a âREALâ photographer and pay $500+ for REAL headshots. Thank God I said no to that part. Fast forward to the first class that I took with them. It was a modeling class which consisted of us walking around the room for about two and a half hours and barely getting any notes on what to fix. I wonât get into all of the classes, but they werenât worth $500. A couple of months later I received an email with a deal. The deal was that for $100 I could get three free months with them and headshots from a professional. That sounded good enough to me so I took it. When I went to get my headshots done, everybody was friendly , there was a nice set up, but then I received the pictures. As a photographer, you should know that HEADSHOTS should only include your head and a small portion of the top of your body. Anyway, they took two weeks to edit them and after two weeks passed I still didnât get them. I emailed them to complain about not liking the pictures and their response to me was that the photo assistant never uploaded the pictures because they were "moving offices". They apologized and I received them the next day. So that totaled to about 3 weeks before I got them. STILL NOT EDITED! THEY LOOKED EXACTLY THE SAME! Being that I was unhappy with the pictures that THEY supposedly would represent me with, I sent an email to complain. Two weeks later and still no response. I emailed someone else that was a part of the office. A week later, no response. I received ANOTHER email with another deal( they love making sure you give them money some way). I responded with my complaints about not receiving any responses about my issue with my photos. Just so you know before the issue with my pictures, I never had any issues with them staying in contact with me. That was a week ago and I still have not gotten a response. Once I get this issue resolved, I want NOTHING to...
Read moreWell I'm so glad I didn't waste my time going to this appointment either. To be honest I thought it to be very suspicions after within a few minutes of answering questions online I got a call right away. So I tell the woman that I would be traveling out of the country and wouldn't be available to do any interview until the end of October beginning of November right. Ok well within that first couple of days I see a email saying that they were so pleased that I set up an interview that I will have an appointment within the following few days. Well at this point it's the beginning of October and I was very persistent over the phone that I would not be available due to traveling. So I emailed them stating this and saying why set one up when I'm saying I'm not availible and yet your setting up a date and time. (Hello Im not even going to be In this country duh) Well it happened again another email with a date and time and I ignored it and now just a few days ago again. I personally know that if you haven't really done this or new to it then why would a ligament company chase you if your basically a nobody in a sense not saying literally, but im sure you guys know what I mean. So that made me realize there's something fishy about all these emails and automatically seeing date and times for interviews that they hadn't even confirmed with me since I got back from my trip. Well now I see what everyone else is saying. When someone wants you because they think you could be a possible star later on than a real company would probably pay for your digital portfolio. Not tell you $500 for a digital portfolio & a monthly fee of $40. Well let's see if the company can scam 20 people in one month thats 5,000 dollars now I'm sure that out of the 20 people for there portfolio I'd say the company probably only pays $100 if that, towards each portfolio so that's 2,000 (this is hypothetical) So it's not a wonder why they blew up my email and called right away this is how they make money and I'm pretty sure they get more than 20 people a month that ends up falling for this scam. Thank you everyone who commented what this company was really about. I'm so glad I read these reviews. I always double check reviews when I'm second guessing and boy was I second guessing! And one more thing since the company seems to respond to these comments can you tell me since you've had this business for so long you've must have had one person that became a household name right at least one who...
