Shain Park — Attraction in Birmingham

This is how a park should be. The playground area is somewhat small but very safe and well designed with multiple elements for kids to enjoy (swings, slide, monkey bars, etc..). The beauty of this park is that everything is well thought of in detail; the playground area is covered with Engineered Wood Fibers that is soft for walking on and dampens the falls. It is also fenced on the side that is very close to the street, which is highly appreciated. There is a fair balance between the green and hard surfaces that allow ample possibilities for activities. The fountain, although not sure if it was initially purposed as such but is a wonderful feature in the summer for kids to dip their feet into or splash a little. The park overall hosts plenty of wonderful events throughout the year from live concerts, festivals, yoga sessions,...

Super clean, awesome park to relax or play with kids. Beautiful light decorations for Christmas. They have a water fountain in the summer surrounded by tables and chairs. Really beautiful at night, to walk around or just sit on the bench. Surrounded by tasty restaurants and hosts nice events on...

Always loved this park! It is very social with many activities (yoga, carnivals, holiday celebrations, etc.) I love it for the sculptures and monuments. They also have varied seating which is perfect when grabbing a meal or snack to go and just casually kicking back, enjoying the escapism...
