Was greeted upon arriving and asked what sort of help I needed (adjust frames, slipping). Was then asked whether the slipping was due to screw adjustment or something else, which I found absurd. Perhaps that discernment is more common among eyeglass wearers than I would guess. I’ve been wearing prescription glasses almost 20 years and today was the first time I was asked to qualify my need for frame adjustment. I figured a direct question might move things along, so I asked if someone there could adjust my frames so they wouldn’t slip as much (this is my third pair of the same WP frames), which was when I was told their optician was out until “next week”, but that “if it is an emergency”, I could try another local WP store. Strange way to put it, but ok. I asked for clarification on what would constitute an emergency such that I’d be permitted to drive myself to another WP store and learned that “emergency” is apparently code for “not an emergency at all, just trying to be obtuse”. I should have had the presence of mind to share that their mission was accomplished. I went to the other store and got the frame adjustment without being quizzed on what I thought the possible issue was and without declaring an emergency. Brick & mortar retail managers: Those of us still darkening your door with our non-emergency needs want you to succeed and need your presence in our communities. But not at the cost of the most basic elements of customer service. I can get shitty, borderline combative...
Read moreI recently lost my prescription glasses while abroad. I went into this location and was immediately helped by a very friendly guy. I can't remember his name, he was an african american man, super helpful. He directed me to the closest optician to get an updated eye exam. I went in later and looked at frames. I told Ryan what I thought I looked best in and he knew exactly what I was looking for. The first frames I tried on was the pair I purchased. The email receipt said the frames would be ready in 10 business days. I ordered my glasses on Wednesday and had them in my hand by the following Tuesday - Super convenient if you are like me and rely heavily on glasses. Lane assisted me when I picked my glasses up and he made sure they fit and felt perfect. I was super impressed by the atmosphere and customer service and will definitely return when I'm in the market for a new...
Read moreI went in July and don’t normally leave reviews for places but I am almost positive my prescription is wrong as my eyes can’t focus on anything past a few feet (my prescription is low but was cut in half of what it was) and this has been awful driving especially at night and my eyes are constantly zoning out plus the contacts I purchased through them (was told the ones I normally order were being discontinued) dry my eyes out so bad and have popped out several times before my work day is over. I was also told by front staff, not doctor that they didn’t take my insurance, when they infact did so I paid out of pocket for everything day of, which I was not expecting to do. Overall the staff is very nice and welcoming but my prescription is not correct and I am an everyday contact wearer and have been opting for my old glasses in my old prescription for both...
