My husband and I went shopping today. He found some great clothes in his style. I looked in their maternity section. They had many nursing bras, which I was looking for, but otherwise hardly anything. We were both shocked at the lack of selection. I'm new to maternity clothes and understand them not having a lot, but Clothes Mentor (a second hand store) had more clothes, and their store is 1/100th the square footage for clothes of Kohl's maybe with racks that hold less? I found some shorts. Pants were $50. Only found t-shirts that were all very simple and a handful of dressier but plain shirts. Our experience at the register was bad. The cashier thought we were paying separate and seemed annoyed when my husband said we were together. I had zoned out and forgot to move my items over. She was starring at another register and looked annoyed at their conversation. She did ask how our day was. My husband cheerfully asked about hers, but she didn't respond. She asked if we wanted to save 35% by getting a Kohl's card. My husband mentioned he had one but hadn't used it in probably 20 years. He realized he exaggerated a bit, but didn't expect her response of "our store hasn't even been open that long!" I mentioned he moved from Minnesota a few years ago. Someone came over and was talking to her about our Kohl's card. They acted all weird when we told them not to worry about looking it up since we really didn't care that much. The cashier and other individual argued about looking it up or not and why we don't want the 35% off. (I'm uncomfortable keeping many credit cards on me and paying them off but was embarrassed to say that.) Finally, we had a gift card. Turned out to have no balance on it, which was fine. We mentioned it was old, so we didn't know what was on it. They were annoyed when it was empty. We will probably shop here again, but I hope it is a better experience. I was way more mellow than the cashier and other worker, and I was the customer, felt embarrassed, and...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend went to Kohls tonight 6/20/2021 at around 6pm to send back an amazon return. I had a 30 percent off coupon and a 5 dollars off coupon I had received in the mail. After the return I figured I could use some sleepwear, so we picked some out and went up to pay. The cashier put in the codes and my girlfriend since it is fathers day just put in her card to pay for the items. It went through, but the cashier started having a meltdown saying she needed to use a kohls card, then berated my girlfriend saying that she should know better, and that they will fire her (the cashier) for this. My girlfriend tried to explain that she doesn't shop at Kohls, to which the cashier just kept saying “you know better”. She then grabbed the stuff and wouldn't let us leave with it and had us walk around the store to find a manager. This whole thing seemed normal to the manager, who didn't seem to care one bit that we were annoyed. I even threatened to cancel my kohls card, and again the manager didn't seem to care. This was unacceptable to treat not only a long term customer this way, but to also berate a possible new customer like this. Needless to say, now I need to cancel my khols card and have nothing to do with this business...
Read moreWorker attempted to sign me up for their credit card without saying a word to me.
Today I went in to buy some dress shoes and a belt. I went to go checkout and the conversation when like this: Me: "Hi, just these" Them: clicks on prompt on their screen, then spins the card reader around and clicks "Yes" on there Them: "Enter your email" Me: "No, I do not want to sign up for any rewards"
So the employees here are clearly compensated for people being signed up for their rewards program and/or their credit card because after saying no, the worker proceeded to angrily pack together the belt and shoes that I bought, scuffing them in the process. So, if I had not spoken up, I would've been signed up for a card for a store that I don't even go to more than once or twice a year. I understand asking your customer if they want to sign up but maliciously clicking through the menu without even talking to the customer is INSANELY sketchy.
Oh and on top of it all, she didn't give me my receipt so I have no way of reporting this feedback other than bringing it out into the...
