Docās Country Mart gets a generous two stars from me today because of their large parking lot and the option to use a smaller grocery cart. Go Docās!
Docās loses stars because of their blatant disregard for customer and employee safety, their limited product choices and their refusal to let me take my groceries to my car using their handy cart (I understand it but donāt appreciate itās it).
I cannot fathom why Docās doesnāt require face masks of, at minimum, the workers we pass in their narrow aisles, the baggers and the checkers ābehindā the plexiglass screen. Just because folks donāt want to believe we are in a national public health crisis doesnāt mean we arenāt. Even though much less convenient, Iāll be heading to Fresh Market for my grocery shopping.
I know Docās wonāt miss the 700$ a month Iāve spent at their Memorial location on groceries (mostly beer; they do have some decent cold brews), but maybe other people who want to minimize their Covid risk will head to Fresh Market. PS. Fresh Market has fantastic food choices though, unfortunately, they also have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have thought about it for a couple days, but I just need to get this out there. I understand that we're going through tough times right now and everyone has their own troubles, but one thing that I've always liked about Doc's was how nice, polite and respectful the staff would be. Didn't matter what time of year, there was always a sense of joy.
Well, I was in the store a couple days ago and I overheard two employees talking and one of them had such a foul mouth. Just cussing about other employees. The language was used on the floor and near the registers of all places. I believe her name is Kat. I've seen her in there for quite some time, but hopefully management sees this and tries to address it.
Doc's is a store that has built up it's reputation as a family friendly place. It's just sad that one of the employees speaks so terribly about others and in such a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat traditional small town grocery store. These folks stock some of everything. They even have a sushi chef who prepares ready to go rolls daily. Thier butcher is in house and they do an excellent job. They always have good deals on meat and high quality cuts available all the time. They have a good selection of hot ready to go foods if your in a hurry. Thier beer and wine section is impressive also. They have a wide selection and many coolers stocked with ready to go drinks. Although not required to get a good deal thier rewards program is worth that extra effort to get better deals. They usually have 99 cent gallons of milk if they are within a few days of expiring they get marked down. If you have kids like mine it wont last more than a day or two anyway. Folks are friendly and they are usually staffed with enough cashiers and registers so...
