If you are looking for a school with professionalism, cleanliness and great staff. this might not be the place for you. This school is ghetto, rachet, and a very odd learning environment. The only good thing i can really say about this school is, they keep their bathrooms clean. Most of the staffs are rude. I'm new to this school and when ever i asked a staff for directions to my class, i get very unfriendly gestures. This school also gave me a ticket for parking on the "staff side," when i explained to them that i was new and recently just started attending and wasn't aware of the difference, they told me there were signs posted. I took pictures of exactly where i parked and explained to the office that those parking lines had no signs, and he literally said " Too bad, it was made really clear during orientation the difference between student and teacher parking." Like i said earlier, Im new to this school and never got to attend orientation and EVEN registering late, i wasn't given any handbooks or documents explaining ANY of this to me. Even as a parked earlier, i remember seeing a lady in the car right next to me just staring. People stare all the time and i didnt think anything of it because there are a lot of older people that attend this school. She could be a student for all i cared. Now being given a ticket , i've come to realization that, that was indeed a teacher who literally watched me park my car right next to hers and said absolutely, nothing. Its very clear i was a student, i had on pink sweatpants, a pink jacket, and a pink backpack. If i was a teacher or staff and i noticed a student parking at a wrong sloth, a simple "Hey, this parking is for staff only" would very swiftly come out my mouth.I was told i could repeal the ticket and try to fight against paying it but why bother writing an essay to the board when i was already told " Well, that's too bad," just by simply verbally explaining myself? Good luck if you chose prairie...
Read morePrairie State fails to go through with their promises and just wants to continually add classes. When you question the advisor ( Jennifer Forbes) will send back rude and disrespectful emails because she fails to do her job and wants to continually sell you more classes. Iâm not saying this a horrible school because the professors minus one were very professional all my three and half years studying education. Also, when I met with the transfer counselor ( Sarah Hein) her attitude was very unprofessional and disrespectful as well. She doesnât want to do her job, on a virtual meeting she was very annoyed and distracted the entire meeting and each time I had a conversation with her. Then, the financial aid department lacks knowledge and communication because when I started my journey the advisor mentioned to me about applying for a scholarship but I was told no when I earned it with great gpa and all the requirements that they had asked of me that took a very long time to receive. Just be aware that this college is a scam and they will not clarify anything when they are...
Read moreThis is the most unorganized, most unprofessional nursing program Iâve ever seen. There are too many hands in the pot. You'll have one professor tell you to do things one way, and then the other professors will say It's done in a completely different way. Moreover, I wish I knew ahead of time about this program--because I would've gone elsewhere. This place is chaotic, everything is all over the place. From the Labs to the lectures; how do they expect students to learn like this? This program is a total waste of time. Oh and letâs not forget the bullying many of the students encounter at the hands of their professors. Some of the professors talk to the students like pure trash--like theyâre children; hence, (I wouldn't even talk to a child in the way some of these instructors talk to their students). Furthermore, youâre teaching yourself (like how can you teach yourself to be a nurse?). Also, youâre scared to ask questions without the professors making you feel stupid for asking the question. Save yourself and go somewhere else, you'll be...
