Tonight the 1 star is actually too much!! Have been going to this Kroger for the past 30 years … convenient, friendly service and fresh products … so yeah it was perfect!! But unfortunately we continue to see the quality of the store and the staff rapidly declining! Went in tonight to get a few things and the person at the check out lane no 3, Coco was not just distracted and inefficient… she was rude and uncooperative! She scanned a bag of sweet potatoes which were not mine and when I asked her to correct it … deleted my apples which was $2 and gave the bag of sweet potatoes $10 to the person behind me which she had me pay for!! When we told her to correct that we got all the attitude which we do not see in our neighborhood Kroger. The assistant manager, Delorean, was of no help asking us to complain on a toll free number!! It was an unpleasant almost scary experience with the staff there ganging up on us!! Coco added to the charm by laughing and snickering while we were talking to the assistant manager and he said nothing to her.
Guess there goes our Kroger … need to stick to more of the Ninos kind of stores! At least the people working there are trained and polite and super efficient!! This...
Read moreA handful of the employees seem nice, but this tiny store is obviously poorly managed. Items are frequently out of stock or expired. I dare you to try their "Customer Service" desk! The other day I bought some flour, I was trying to make it a quick trip. When I came home, I realized it had a giant store sticker on it, saying it cannot be resold, since it was once purchased, brought home, then returned by another shopper. (My wife ended up getting a refund with no trouble, but still) Shame on me for not noticing! I guess I took it for granted that the store would not actually put something like that back on the shelf for sale. Also, at point-of-sale, they try to make it so you must use your bank card as a debit card (with PIN) instead of using it as "credit". Why? What about points/rewards? This Kroger is 3 minutes drive from my house. For sake of convenience, I do shop here, but I know just taking a short extra drive somewhere else is definitely a miles- above...
Read moreWhat happened!? This WAS a fantastic Kroger with a nice variety of fresh organic, local, and non-organic items at fair prices. They also had a good selection of all natural and imported products.
When I went in this week, I mostly found mediocre non-organic produce and processed foods. Half their organic/all natural isle was missing stock, and they stopped carrying some high-end brand names including their kosher lox and Lilly's organic hummus. What items they did have left were as expensive, if not more, than what Plum Market and Papa Joe's were charging.
Outside of staples (butter, flour, eggs) and budget parties, I would not recommend this store. Even on a budget, there are stores in the vicinity that can offer better quality items at competitive prices.
Also: Another commenter mentioned a self-checkout. I've been coming to this Kroger for 5 years and have never seen one self-checkout. They do have very lovely...
