We recently placed a catering order from Pita Way (Long Lake & Telegraph) for the teachers and staff at St. Regis Catholic School. When we called to pay, the owners — Emilio and his wife — refused to accept payment and asked that we instead donate the money back to the teachers.

Their generosity and kindness blew us away.

The food is always excellent, but this experience showed their true character. Pita Way doesn’t just serve the community — they support it.

This is the third time I have tried to use a coupon that they won’t honor. It’s really irritating to plan your day around where you will be getting food just to get bait and switched after you order. Today’s coupon had to be redeemed through the app, but ordering through the app won’t let you pick more than a few toppings. I needed a quick late lunch and stopped in at Pita Way and was so glad I did. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and eager to explain the offerings. One gentleman offered me a pickled turnip and piece of tourshi so I could taste how well they complemented each other. I got a "sandweech" with dark chicken meat (white meat is also available, as is gyro meat). The meat was seasoned so well and had a nice bit of grill char.
