Shoppers be aware!! Let me start with.. I have been a VERY LOYAL AND CONSTANT CUSTOMER!! Kohl’s has been my “go to” for as long as I can remember, gifts, Christmas, school clothes, shoes, household etc!! Today I am VERY LET DOWN. Placed an order with kohl’s yesterday ... today I have an email saying the order was canceled! They charged my account first thing of course.. so I had to call the toll free number and figure this crap out first thing this morning. Apparently because of the holiday season, they’re selecting random people to cancel orders on and force through the verification process...
SOOO after verifying everything with them and proving I wasn’t a fraudulent person, she tells me 3 of the items on my order are NOW OUT OF STOCK. 🤬 I can appreciate a verification process and trying to cut down on fraud (I’ve been a victim in the past)... however, if you’re going to cancel orders for this process; 1. Hold your customers items so they don’t go out of stock 2. Don’t charge their frickin’ account until the order has gone through!!
My first order was about $330, they took it out and now I’m waiting for that refund to process.... but for the “verified re-do order (minus the out of stock items), I have another $300 charge. So $630 to kohl’s until they refund the original charge.... So when I asked if this would happen again she said “it’s a random draw by shopping pattern, so unfortunately it could happen again” WTH!! Kohl’s is my go to, and I still have a lot of shopping to do with them (or so I thought...but not anymore).. Lets not forget, I’m now out another $15 kohl’s cash, my account is extremely low now, due to the double charge, and just paying my $1,500 mortgage. I Still have to buy things for Thanksgiving dinner and put gas in my vehicle for holiday travel this week. Kohl’s has just really screwed me over!!    Read moreRacial Profiling & Discrimination My grandson went to Kohls with my daughter to purchase his Homecoming items with my Kohls card. He was not allowed to make his purchase. His inability to make purchases with my card within itself didn't bother me, but the fact that after the denial of his purchase and the behavior of the store clerks were my concern. When I came to the store to get the items that he asked to be put aside the same individual that he worked with made snares, comments of suspicion and continued to stare at my family. While working with other individuals, she stated she knew all about the suspended order. She called over a man I am assuming a manager. I don’t know, no one made me feel like they were helping me. It felt more like they were suspicious of my family’s purchase without reason. I know there was a comment to the nature that's why the worker flag the order. What was the reason? What was the reason when I came into the store after their refusal to allow his purchase that I was looked at with snares and stares? What was the reason that my Kohls experience was one of the most degrading experiences for myself, my grandson and daughter have had in making a purchase? I love Kohls; however, being treated with dignity and respect means more to me than any name brand or store preference. I think every worker at Kohls needs to learn about racial profiling, discrimination, and treating everyone equal. I am 100% certain that my experience was due to racism, racial profiling, and discrimination. I am not asking anything in return except to be heard, an apology to my family for our experience, and a form of prevention of any further occurrences. Regular discounts, Kohl's cash, shopping "points", entice shoppers to come back soon to enjoy fresh, new seasonal styles and colors. Always a fun shopping experience. Many other fine departments to browse also, offering the same high quality brands and amazing selections. Kohl's stores are bright, clean, neat, and welcoming! (Kohl's. online shopping website is also wonderful and easy to navigate and place an order.) Other department stores have tried to duplicate how Kohl's retains it's valued and loyal customers, but to my knowledge, none have come close.
