My washer stopped working correctly so I had Aaron from Trading Post Appliances come out to look at it. He said he couldnât fix it and suggested buying another one. He said he had a used one he could deliver the very next day.
I was pregnant, due to be induced within a matter of days, and my laundry was piling up, so I said Iâd take it. He sold me an old Kenmore for $400. I thought this was a bit high, but I was desperate to wash my laundry and he said the price included delivery.
The washer had issues immediately. It made a loud clanking sound when spinning and used hot water, regardless of what water temperature I selected. I had asked Aaron how old the washer was and he told me that it was basically impossible to tell. I made some calls and did some research and found out the washer was 12 years old. I was shocked because Aaron said most washers only last six years or so (meaning, the washer he sold me probably wasnât going to last very long).
I received and paid for the washer on July 26th and requested to return the washer and receive a refund on August 3rd (I wouldâve contacted him sooner, but I was in the hospital). Aaron declined and told me he could come out and look at it, or replace it with a Samsung washer.
I didnât feel like he was trying to take advantage of me until he mentioned replacing the washer he sold me with a Samsung. While he was here, he told me he didnât recommend Samsung washers, especially the glass top ones. Yet, that was what he was trying to give me.
Iâm now having to buy another washer (from an honest, reputable source) and am out $400 that I couldâve used to buy groceries, diapers, etc. Trading Post Appliances might be great for repairs, but I wouldnât recommend them if youâre looking for a reasonably priced, working washer...
Read moreIce cream was soft in refrigerator freezer in the garage. I turned up the thermostat and called Trading Post at 8:30 PM on a Sunday night and left a message asking if they had a used one and how soon it could be here tomorrow assuming delivery for a new one elsewhere would take at least a week.
Twenty minutes later a repair man called, I believe his name was Jess, and said the fridge isn't broken it's the temps outside and explained what freezers were designed to do when itâs too cold, warm up, and to put my food inside the garage door and it will stay frozen & as soon as it warms up outside I will be able to put all back! 1)Why would they look at a message late on a Sunday night? 2)Why wouldnât they wait until Monday to call me back? 3)Why would they be so honest vs selling me a refrigerator and sending me the replacement tomorrow ?
I was in such a hurry to do as they told me I didnât write down the manâs nameâŚI believe it was JessâŚ.Iâm going to confirm that and go out there to thank him and because of the honesty get business cards for friends and neighbors and my future needs so we can do business with such honesty as this at...
Read moreHad a very bad experience. I noticed after the 30 day warranty was up that it only washed in hot water. Got ahold of them and they said to have my apartment maintenance check the cold water hoses. The maintenance said the cold water was working fine. Called back again and was treated very rudely acting like I didnât know what I was talking about. Also told them the machine would flash and stop working on delicate cycle and was told that those washers do that new and nothing was wrong.
All I wanted was them to come do a service call to fix my washer. After getting no where with them, I called an appliance repairman. He came out and said they hooked up the hoses incorrectly but that wasnât why it was only using hot water. The problem is that the main control board isnât working correctly and they donât make it anymore. The control board is also the reason why it freezes up on delicate cycle also.
So the washer is not fixableâŚmakes sense why they wouldnât come out to repair my washer. Very frustrated because it seems as if they knew it was not working properly when they...
