The Royal Biscuit is what I would call the epitome of local breakfast/lunch joint. You can grab a seat pretty quickly and get served at a decent rate. The atmosphere was a little plain in terms of decor. The dining room also featured exclusively Christian music, which is fine but it does set an atmosphere. My server did a good job taking care of us today and I don’t have any qualms with the service. The menu offers many choices, which is a plus. My wife’s California Scramble came out looking a little differently than we expected, it also took a good splashing of Pace salsa which slightly overwhelmed the plate. My French toast was good, and was recommended by my server. The eggs and sausage patties were fine, but not exactly hot when they reached the table. We ordered a Royal Cinnamon Biscuit which was also fine. It was very sweet and the center had a soft texture which was interesting with the flaky biscuit. I was able to detect quickly that the biscuit itself wasn’t heated, but the syrup/icing was, resulting in a dessert that missed the mark. I could see it being fine for locals that want a nearby breakfast, but overall it missed the mark for me. I probably wouldn’t be...

Sandy's who!? Ok seriously... I used to go to Sandy's all the time. They moved and I stopped. I like the small town dinner atmosphere and them moving to a big strip mall may have detonated the business. But NOW!... Royal Biscuit is in the old Sandy's building. Amazing! Family owned and it's obvious! The atmosphere is a bit less then the small town dinner experience but still small and friendly. The food... better then Sandy's and the coffee... best in town. Big helpings, maybe a bit too big but still. Staff was super friendly. Above and beyond my expectations. Not pushy but always made sure they were doing there best to please the customers. And on an Easter sunday we walked in and sat right down. Service was fast, and food was hot and came out super fast. I highly recommend Royal biscuit. I'll be back...

Awesome place to eat...the meal and service is fantastic! We tried the Royal Biscuit when Sandys left and were very pleased with the prompt friendly family style service. Your greeted with a heartfelt welcome.

Having tried several items on the menu, none of them have been disappointing. My fall back is the Truman, but closer to noon we try the lunch side of the menu.

Pictured is the Fried Chicken Wrap, crispy fired chicken tenders, crisp lettuce, (hold the tomato for me), bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing in a large flour tortilla. Side of fries with this one. I've had the wrap twice and each time had to take the other half home, it's a hefty wrap.

The restaurant is spotless clean (even the restrooms) and service is great!

I get asked often, "...the Truman?" so I think were kind...

Had the opportunity on New Year’s Day to check out a local breakfast joint here in Blue Springs, the Royal Biscuit Breakfast and Dinner restaurant. I came in with my five year old son who loves biscuits and gravy. We were sat promptly and my son (who loves biscuits and gravy), ordered the Biscuits and Gravy! Boy was he in for a treat. The gravy was filled with sausage bits, which is our favorite. Watery gravy is not for our family! I had eggs and hash browns with my biscuits and gravy. It was a great breakfast and we enjoyed the atmosphere and my son remarked that it was the best biscuits and gravy he’s had since our visit to Alabama last year. Will be returning.

I don’t know how this place has such great reviews. I’m a server & I was just disappointed time and time again. It wasn’t busy, maybe 3 other two-top tables.. we did sit ourselves & ordered quickly. But the food is just cheap quality w/ no flavor. My choc chip pancakes came w/ chips centered on the cop, not through-out which is an automatic no. The eggs were eggs. Potatoes were store bought best choice, flavorless.. and our server didn’t come back until dropping off the the check. We won’t be back.
