Wilson's Fabric — Local services in Boaz

Went in today for some fabric to use on a chair and ottoman we are having redone. They people were nice I will give them that BUT we told them more then once what the fabric would be used for and asked more then once if it’ll work and they said yes it would be great. We get the items and fabric to the man redoing them and he said it was the wrong fabric that yes it’ll work but it won’t last nearly as long. I called to let them know that it was not upholstery fabric but y’all still sold it to us and the lady on the phone said “well he should know because he works on them but it’ll stretch long enough to fit” but we don’t take fabric back” I understand they can’t take it back but THEY made the mistake after us asking numerous times and then THEY wanted to be a little rude when told when told what happened. These people are horrible to work with! I bought fabric in November and it was 25% off for the month. I needed more and was told they had to order more anyway because they always keep it in stock. The roll they ordered got lost in shipping and by the time another roll came in it was December 5th. Well, I was told it would only be a 10% discount because it was a special order. I then asked for my money back for my original purchase and the owner Heath Wilson told me there is a 40% restocking fee! It's not printed on my receipt and I was never told that! This business is totally horrible. I would never do business with this...

As a business owner and a professional seamstress good fabric is hard to find in my area. I am usually sent to the internet to find quality and reasonable prices. Wilsons was recommended to me by a friend and I am so thankful for it. Its nice to find a fabric store within a decent distance and not a days drive a way. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable on the supplies and needs of my business. I was impressed from the time I walked in to the time I left the store. It may not be as big or a nice as the big box stores, but the attitude, friendliness and knowledge outranks them by miles! I will be back...
