Harbor Freight — Local services in Boaz

Okay never anyone around on the isles to help you find anything or answer any questions so second visit to this location and never again will I return. I went there on Thursday 12 th of December around 3pm looking for loading ramps they had tickets out for a particular set i wanted the manager said sorry but we are out of them the other set was a little higher in price I asked if they could give me a Curtisy discount since they didn’t have the ones i really wanted the manager said that harbor freight doesn’t give courtesy discount to anyone and that’s not her fault or problem (Katelyn) i said really i have worked in customer service before and we always went out of our way to make customers happy she then stated she didn’t care and it’s not her problem she then called another manager told her I was being rude and nasty because she wouldn’t give me a discount. We went back and forth for a few minutes i said just forget it and I would call corporate office and explain how the managers treated me at this location they said good for you and they hope I never come back to their store. How come customer service has become not important to these stores they are very rude and I’m not sure how they got to be managers but I can tell you I will never go back to this location and I will do everything in my power to make sure others don’t in order for a business to succeed you need people to shop and spend money have employees that will go out of their way to make a customer happy i guess this doesn’t exist anymore and these stores don’t care about customer service anymore and it’s sad in a smaller city I’d think every customer would matter but that’s not the case. I enjoy going to Harbor Freight. This location has never failed to greet me when walking in the door and thee is never an employee too busy to help if I need it. The tool selection is actually pretty decent and if I dont have the extra dollars for a high end tool, there is always a tool within my budget to complete a job. In all honesty I have power tools that I've paid less than $10 for using a coupon that are still working to this day. Say what you will about overseas manufacturing but with 7000 stores in the US that employs family, friends, and neighbors, and the no hassle return policy, I will gladly give Harbor Frieght my business whenever I am in need. One last thing...most apprentices and helpers cant afford good, decent tools. I like this store. Many many tools. I think that everything in the place except the cashier is made in China. The only reason i didnt give them a 5 star rating is because of having to join the club to get a discount and the coupon thing needs updated. The cashier has to go through the book and scan the coupon manually and it takes up alot of time and backs the line. They missed one of the coupons on my purchace but i wasnt going back in that line cot a couple of bucks. On the next visit i was gonna get a battery charger and had a coupon for 25% off. The coupon excluded battery chargers for some reason. I went to a different store and purchased one there.
