Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Boaz

Dairy Queen in Boaz Alabama is pathetic! I went in last Wednesday morning today is Friday! I wanted to order my daughter a birthday cake! She does not like regular cake or pies! I wanted to get something special for her because she's been through a lot and going through a lot! So I go to the Boaz Alabama dairy Queen and I ordered this cake tell him what all I want what size what I want on it specifics with how to spell her name and everything. I was assured that it would be ready by today she said 10:30 I said I would be there at 11:00. I get there at 11:00 today and I asked about my cake and a woman comes out of the back with the ticket and says I am so sorry but this did not get turned in to be made! Of course I said some choice words because this is just ridiculous! And I said exactly what am I supposed to do now? She says well I can have our cake maker come in and make you a cake but it won't be ready until tonight! I said that's unacceptable because I had plans to give the cake to my daughter today so that she can enjoy it today on her birthday! And all I can get was well I'm sorry! But let's backtrack a little bit the day that I ordered it on Wednesday there was two people sitting in the restaurant eating no one was at the counter and I waited for 10 minutes for three staff members standing over at the drive-thru window gossiping to finally come and wait on me! This is absolutely ridiculous is the only word I can think of for a place that is famous for making ice cream cakes and treats that cannot make sure in two and a half days that a cake is made! I was not offered another cake at a discount or anything else for my trouble! All I got was a stupid I'm sorry! I will not go back to that dairy Queen and I will tell everybody that I can about how I was treated! (Btw i have read other reviews for here and the majority are like mine.) I don’t normally do reviews however seeing the review from earlier today really set me off. My family and I had an excellent experience. The food was fresh and hot and the employees were all friendly. The issue I’m having with the review CODY left is this. I was there before him and his family came in. The employees were cleaning before I even got there. They also weren’t using anything strong because it wasn’t even a strong smell. It just smelled clean. The part I don’t understand is, if they were cleaning before we all came in. Why on earth would you intentionally sit next to where they are cleaning and then complain about them cleaning. A lot of folks don’t wanna do anything now a days and that guy and girl were on the floor wiping under the tables and scrapping gum off to ensure us as customers have a clean place to eat. Why complain about people cleaning? Maybe it’s because he just likes to be dirty and can’t stand the smell of cleanliness. I personally don’t know. It also wasn’t right for him to be ugly to the two workers either. He chose to sit next to them knowing good and well they were cleaning. There was a whole other side of the restaurant they could have sat at but they didn’t. Sounds crazy to me. The girl even asked me if the smell was bothering me after he was ugly to her and I appreciated her trying to make sure it didn’t bother anyone else and it didn’t bother anyone else because there wasn’t a smell to complain about. Welcome to Dairy Queen of Boaz where our service is not for your pleasure. That's about the gist of it... my family and I stopped in today to get some BBQ Chicken Strips and a #2 burger for my son; the young blonde with glasses at the window was in a hurry to clock out and leave. When we received our order the container of ranch dressing that everyone in the factory and everyone at dairy Queen has had their dirty hands on was throw right on top of my BBQ Chicken Strips, BBQ Chicken completely covered my toast and the burger that we asked to be ketchup only was loaded. When I went inside the store to get my money back the same young lady and another girl stated that laying the ranch dressing in the box was how they were trained to do it, (What? Just add roaches next time!). The manager, Mark, then asked me if I wanted all my money back... I know we aren't all Einstein''s but "Yeah!"

Unless your a fan of drama, I'd stay away from Drama Queen.

I will never go back to this Class Z establishment ever again. I'll stick with more of a finer class establishment, "McDonald''s sound's so much better". If I were you I would 2nd guess yourself on going...
