China Buffet — Restaurant in Boaz

The food was awful. The air conditioner was not working. When we complained about the food, the manager started screaming at us. You could hear him all over the restaurant. When my husband asked what we owed for 2 buffets, he screamed and said it would be $40.00. My husband said why so much. The manager screamed and said I put a sign up on the door 2 weeks ago that there was lobster on the menu. NO SIGN!! No where in this town is a buffet in a scorching hot restaurant $40.00. I DONT KNOW WHY MY HUSBAND HANDED THAT MAN $40.00, BUT HE DID. We were absolutely shocked at how we were treated. The food was so bad that we barely ate a bite of each thing we tasted. I have never had anyone treat us so badly as this man did. It was absolutely shocking. The health department needs to pay this place a visit. They need to get someone with a little bit of class and education to run the place. You never treat customers this way. You do not scream at customers, and you do not charge them more than the regular price because you have to work in a 120-degree restaurant or because of a customer complaining about the food. I only gave 1 start because I had to. Dirty plates on the buffet and I mean dirty. I reported to the waitress and she only removed the top plate. The remaining plates were filthy with food stuck to them. The plate I reported to the waitress had what appeared to be a liquid substance hardened on it. The silverware was nasty also. As I got to my table with my food I noticed it was cold. I went back for something different and I noticed it was cold. I went to the buffet again and filled my plate and informed the waitress that as I placed my finger in my food that everything on the buffet was cold. She asked me if I wanted to her to microwave the plate. I said no the food should have been fresh and hot. I could not eat the food. I tried and should have not eaten anything. I had to eat the hot soup. I noticed as I was leaving the restaurant that the cook was placing hot food on the buffet and mixing the cold food with the hot. The food that was cold was a single layer in the buffet pan. So that alone should give you an idea of how nasty this place is. Also my stomach was hurting after I left the restaurant. We went here for the first time this Sunday,Sept 2,2018! It was a great surprise! It is kind of hard to see from the road,but it's in a strip mall hidden behind a gas station. It is pretty bland from outward appearances but don't let that fool you! It has three and 1/2 buffet tables full of food. Lots of items to choose from and they even have Korean Kimchi,which was really good! They had several types of meat and seafood,fresh fruits, salad fixings,cookies,cakes ice cream and many more dessert choices. Their friend potatoes were some of the best ,I have ever had in a restaurant. They also had pizza for those whose kids are picky about Chinese food . I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying the food here. They also sell little Chinese decorations as well as costume jewelry. The waitress is very attentive and checks to see if you need anything.
