Worst delivery experience. Same team has been out two times in a row. First time they didn't install the table with all the parts so I called to have them ship the missing parts. Warehouse can't do that so they have to resend an order out and reassemble the whole table and remove the original assembled table. I thought that was waste of everyone's time when I knew exactly what was missing, some bolts and wood cover pieces to cover up the bolts. They guys didn't follow the instructions to complete the final steps.
I had another big shipment come today. Around 8K in furniture for our new home. We ordered it back in April. Waited all day with my kids for their new bed frames and bedroom furniture. We just moved cross country and they only have their mattresses. Delivery truck arrived around 2:30pm. It was raining but stopped shortly after they arrived. The dispatch said the team would wait to see if it would clear. When it started clearing up they just left. Then I realized it was the same team from last time. One of them was nice but the other guy, the driver had an attitude about him. I even tipped them $40 per person last time they delivered even though it was a simple installation. When I called them and asked why they didn't deliver the nice guy told me it was the driver who made the decision, but if it was up to him he would have delivered it. Normally I focus on being kind and patient because I run a customer service based business and I understand both sides. However, this was tough because it was willful and needless customer antagonism.
Ultimately it's lazy and unprofessional behavior. Just beware of the delivery process and hope you get a professional crew. That's the part that can really frustrate the whole excitement in purchasing from CB. You pay a lot of money to play cat and mouse with your furniture. Waiting all day, multiple days for them to arrive only to reschedule another day of wasting your time to receive the delivery. I just wish they would drop it off and just let me unpack it and put it together. At least I know it will get the attention to detail it requires.

The sofa was on the high side of our budget but we loved the look of it and hoped the quality and service would make up for the higher price. We were advised to open a crate and barrel credit card to get in-store credits and it was a holiday weekend so they were running bonus store credits if we bought it that weekend. We completed the purchase and waited about 3 months for the sofa to get delivered (they advised us that it would take that long, so no surprise there). When it finally got delivered, the delivery team left the sofa standing upright on a dolly and the sofa toppled over hitting the ground and tearing the underneath dust cover. The delivery team said they’d make a note to have someone come out and repair the dust cover but if no one calls, I should call the store. I tried the store and left 3-4 voicemails and no one ever called me back ! We also finally went back to the store to use our store credits from the sofa to get something and we were told that the credits expire in 90 days and we could no longer use the approximate $450 store credit. I was so upset I called the credit card company to appeal and they refused to reinstate the in store credits. For a brand that is on the expensive side and prides itself on service and repeat business, I’m shocked at the low level of after-sale service. She was very polite and very knowledgeable. All of a sudden two children come running by jumps on a bed and almost falls off, Paula turns around and asked the child to please not jump on the beds. I looked around for the mother who was 20 yards away looking at sheets, not watching or being a parent to the children leaving them on supervised. I continued shopping and was checking out when the mother of these two children comes over And rudely interrupts my transaction to tell Paula her dissatisfaction of her, for correcting her children. Paula said to the woman that I wanted to make sure your child was safe as he almost fell off the bed, which in my eyes was the truth as I was watching. Instead of apologizing to your sales person For making sure her children were safe The mother started threatening Paula with a bad review on yelp and Your website. It’s sad when a bad parent takes out their anger on others for them not doing their job as a parent. I just wanted to go on record as I witnessed the whole incident. This woman was rude, obnoxious and obviously a bad parent. Thank goodness for someone like your sales associate that made these children safe in the store as I’m sure if something happened to one of her children she would be suing your company. thank you for taking the time...
