Five Below — Local services in Bolingbrook

The manager's behavior was incredibly rude and lacking in customer service skills. My grandmother made a purchase and the manager (associate #838942) needed an employee to use a cheat sheet to scan multiple items. The employee didn't understand, so the manager took it upon herself to grab the sheet and rudely asked the employee, “Are you joking?”

In addition to her poor treatment of staff, the manager also addressed my grandmother inappropriately when she accidentally stood in the wrong part of the line (which was empty at the time). The manager commented, “Just so you know, in the future that’s not where you get in line”

I have significant concerns about this manager’s abilities. As a B2B saas corporate sales manager myself, I believe she needs to improve her basic customer service skills to avoid a career in lower-tier positions, as her current one.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! It’s clean and welcoming. Every staff has great energy and has a smile on their face. Sam and DJ are kind and professional. The staff that I have come across at this store is not only helpful but also makes you feel like you’re home. All the products are neatly arranged and there is no dust to be seen anywhere. I always ended up coming and buying at this store because I love the energy at this store. This store may be far from my home but I will always be coming here. A lot of people are excited to have a Five Below at Boughton & Weber, but they're still experiencing some growing pains while they get the last kinks ironed out (like only having 1 self-service checkout working). They have a great selection of cheap tech stuff and gadgets, plus a huge assortment of candy, nerf toys, and lots more. Sales associates are friendly and willing to help.
