Regional Homes — Local services in Bonifay

This is update # 2. As of 9/26 STILL no certificate of occupancy which is Regionals responsibly! STILL no communication!! This is Aug 29 update to my first post. The hot water issue was fixed after poor communication and 2 tank replacements on the same day! To date I STILL do not have a certificate of occupancy and after speaking to Regional on the matter and getting told they would have the skirting removed for the inspection, I waited a week, called the code inspector and found out Regional lied to them therefore was going to inspect only 1 thing on the hit list. I told him to check his paperwork and he agreed that he was lied to and now no one is taking care of this. Again, poor communication, lies and money hungry people who don’t care about anyone but themselves.... in my opinion and experience. After Hurricane Micheal destroyed my home and my insurance paid out I had cash to buy a new mobile home. I tried to buy locally and they were all too busy and could not help me for months. My daughter and I were living in a shed, no water, kitchen and a rented porta potty. I found Regional Homes , went in and saw a beautiful home , salesman was slick and knew all the right things to say to an overwhelmed woman in desperation. I was told a pack of lies and was told company policy requires 1/2 down on a cash buy so that’s what I did. He DID NOT tell me that deposit was NOT refundable! They kept their word on just a few things they said they would do, just enough so they could point to those things as a defense and slander against me. The trailer was a mess when I went to see it. Their sweet talk turned to extreme lies and aggression with angry tones when I questioned about anything and yes they angrily said I didn’t have to take that trailer but I had been living in a shed for over 6 months I knew I could not get my money back and frankly fell apart at it all , caved “my fault” and bought it. It has been a nightmare every sense! No communication, very poor and incomplete work. Work I have had to go back to repair or pay someone else to do it right, unfulfilled promises, and to this date 7/19/19 over 4 months Since purchase I have no certificate of occupancy and a electrical problem that is dangerous and I have no hot water because of it and random flickering lights. If there would have been some basic concern and below average manners shown with proper communication from the beginning , or I should say AFTER they got my money,I could have worked with them but in my opinion and experience this company and the Mobile home company they own, Hamilton Homes in Alabama are a bait and switch operation that are preying on the poor, taking full advantage of good people who are desperate for help who can not afford to defend themselves other then in the court of public opinion. I am taking a huge risk of them never doing the warranty work to make my home usable by posting this but have reached the point that it’s time to warn others. If there are others in my area that would like to share your story with me for possible further action please contact me, I am in Panama City. If you are having the same problems I am PLEASE take the time to file a report with the Better Business Bureau, with the state office FDBPR and the FCPA.

Well this is update #3 November 12, 2020. Still no certificate of occupancy due to Regional continuing to...

First off, I want to apologize to our salesman David because I know I am soooo late at posting this! While of course with any major purchase there is aways going to be some setbacks. It took a little longer to get our place, there are some issues we ran into with a sink or two, our ac, some trim... BUT I mean nobody and nothing is perfect! As far as our experience with the whole deal... AMAZING!!! When we first tried purchasing we were not quite there yet. That did not deter David in helping us. He told us what was stopping us and we worked hard and got approved the second try! He was there EVERY step of the way! From the first no, to the yes, to getting our land ready, to the home, to fixing any issues, and everything beyond and in-between! How many sales guys are gonna come help cut a tree down after working all day just so that you don't have anymore hiccups in getting your place and getting moved in??! He has answered any and everytime I've called or texted, he has met us up there when he was supposed to be off just so it was convenient for us. He has helped find answers for us on things that wasn't even his department! We love this man so much we invited him to come on and move in too! Heck I was already dropping off goodies constantly for him and his family! The whole team up there honestly have been so sweet and helpful and even through all the craziness, I would buy from them time and time again... if I was rich of course 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you so so so much for the awesome awesome and amazing job!...

2020 has been a year of many downs for us with COVID and other things, that is until we decided to buy a home from Regional Homes of Bonifay. They were our 1st stop to check out buying a home. After going to a 2nd and 3rd place we quickly went right back! The prices and quality of the homes are amazing! The respect, customer service and hard work that this company provides is outstanding! In 30 days we went from approved to closing! In 3 days time they had our new home delivered, set up, anchored, existing well and septic hooked up, A/C installed, trim guy there and electrician just showed up, after an issue with our power box occurred they were quick to continue to bless us and handle things for us so we could continue in making this dream a reality!! Every single worker that has arrived to do their part has been polite, hard working and always let us know what was going on! Plus, they always cleaned up anything that was needed while working. If you are a first time new home buyer or looking to upgrade what you have Regional Homes of Bonifay does it BEST! HANDS DOWN there isnt any one better! We hope yall enjoy the experience as much as we have! Thank yall from the bottom of our hearts for making this experience a true blessing! #GloryToGod and Regional Homes...
