Will be taking my business elsewhere. This is the closest place to me that has Estee Lauder products but that ladies at the counter are just awful. Firstly, when I went to get matched it took three attempts of going back to the counter, because they wouldn't listen to me about how my skin reacts to foundation (it's oily, to it can react and create oxidation even in foundations that don't typically do so). Eventually, I just chose my own shade and refused help, but not before being reprimanded for making too many returns. Well, I wouldn't be returning them if A) you know how to shade match and listened to me and B) you just gave me samples instead of having me buy it. But we all want to make a sale, right?
Upon trying to rebuy the shade I've chosen, which I've attempted to do twice, I've been again bombarded about choosing a different shade. They keep suggesting all the same shades they suggested the first three times, all of which were terrible (way too orange, pink, dark, etc) after I specifically ask for the one I want to buy. They do not take no for an answer and won't just sell me what I want. It is my face after all, I can wear what I want without being questioned every time. Also, they never keep my shade in stock and always tell me I should "stock up" for when they run out. I don't think the solution is for me to buy more things and spend more money upfront, I think the solution would be to order more of products you are running out of. The burden shouldn't fall on the consumer.
This time when I walk up I hear one shout to the other "sheeeee's back". Whatever that means.
Just all around a negative experience. So now I will be driving 20 minutes to an Ulta that sells it instead. I gave this counter too many chances and it's somehow less annoying to drive 20 minutes than it is to deal with the condescending attitudes at this...
Read moreThe selection of items were fine, but the employees were the worst. I was asked constantly if I needed any help, which would normally be nice, but i kept being asked every 2 minutes, like they wanted me to quickly buy something and leave. Some lady who was an employee thought she saw my sibling take a fjallraven backpack and put it on, trying to "steal it", when it was obvious that we had owned it before. They were wearing the backpack when they came in, were already wearing one when they were looking at the other fjallravens, and the bag had attachments such as a flag, jewelry, and we had some things inside the bag already such as a portable phone charger. We bought the bag from the Dillard's in West Tampa, but they didn't believe us. We were hounded by 3-4 employees who searched all throughout the bag, somehow not believing our explanation. I started calling my parents to make a scene, and I guess they let us go, but that situation should have never happened in the first place. The cashier who first confronted me about it was incredibly rude about it, practically blaming us immediately without any evidence. The security guard who interrogated us and searched the bag somehow didn't believe us. Why couldn't the woman who brought it up come to us directly? She never came over and introduced herself, she just told on us to other employees. The unprofessional way this went about makes me want to never go back to this Dillard's. Maybe the one in the Edison mall has...
Read moreOn Sunday, November 10 2024. My brother and me walked in before 6pm to shop.
I was received through the front main door by the cosmetics department lady. I was not able to get her name. She said she was closed after walking in at or around 5:56pm.
We are regular customers at this store and this have never happened to me at a Dillara store; my favorite store.
I then replied to the cosmetics lady telling her " It's not even 6pm yet, what do you mean you are closed?" And she replied by saying, " I want to go home too".
I then made my way to find the Polo Ralph Lauren section when I was then met with Jodi.
Jodi happened to be on the phone. I wanted until she finished her call, so I would not interrupt her.
Jodi the store manager proceeded to go back and forth with me for no reason. I greeted, was kind, and in no way had she in no manner argued with me. I had no argument.
I proceeded to let her know we are regular customers and that we had money to shop. We wouldn't be long. She replied " everybody has money to spend sir". I then told her I would leave a bad review after experiencing such bad customer service.
Dillard has always treated me good. I live in Texas right by Baybrook mall in Webster ,TX. I have never been met with such service at such a high end store.
Bad bad review. Please review you hirees. They sure need a good curriculum before being hired on...
